I bought this just recently to add to my M16A1 gun, which also has the G&P M16A1 front end on it that I also reviewed.
Initial impressions:
I opened the package, and was greeted with a cardboard bod with the Hurricane logo. I opened it and was in shock and aw. Everything looked so nice. I immediatly took the metal body out to examine it. It has very nice trademarks and other markings. It is a bit on the light side, but that didn't phase me a bit. I was sick and fell asleep doing homework, so I wasn't able to put it together that night. The next day I stayed home from school, so I got to put this beauty together.
What came in the package:
-Metal body
-Metal hop-up chamber
-Dust cover
-Charging handle (and other "Action Package" parts)
-Parts for attaching the front end
-Trigger guard
-Screws
Putting it together:
Putting this bady together was easy. The dust cover took a little bit longer becuase the directions didn't do a good job of showing how the spring was supposed to be put on, but I figured it out. The metal body has a so called "action package." This means that when the dust cover is closed, if you pull the charging handle it will flip open. The metal piece on the inside (which is black) also moves to expose the hop-up. This is an awsome feature in my opinion. There is a plastic piece that is put onto the charging handle that allows this awsome feature. The hop-up chamber doesn't come assembled, you have to put all the pieces on. Not that hard, and not a problem to me. It was quite easy for me to get my G&P M16A1 front end on, I just had to screw it on.
Quality:
Top notch. Everything is great quality, even plastic parts. The metal is very nice and the metal body was easy to assemble.

Cons:
-Doesn't come with metal mag catch, selector switch, or rear sights.
