Background
I have always been a massive fan of glocks, my first proper airsoft gun being a KWA Glock 18c, which I still own and love to this day. After purchasing 2 AEG's and a NBB pistol, I decided to look for another GBB pistol. I had recently been seeing the extremely good press that the HFC guns had been getting to date, and when I saw the HFC Glock 17 with metal slide for £79.95 at Airsoft Scotland, I immediately snapped it up, as well as a spare 24 round magazine. Total cost came to £105 and that was with special delivery.
First Impressions
I was awoken on the Saturday morning by someone knocking at the door, so I rushed down and opened the door and standing there was the royal mail bloke holding a package. After I signed for it, I ran back upstairs and tore into it. First impressions were extremely good - The gun is supplied in a black hard plastic carry case, with foam lining on the inside. I opened up the box and sitting there was a small packet of about 200 .2g bb's, a loading rod, spare magazine and of course, my lovely Glock 17. The first thing I did was pick up my glock and rack the slide. Apart from the sweet click-clack sound of the slide, my first thoughts were "This is pretty heavy", and it is, weighing in at around 850 grams with the magazine in place. It is also extremely solidly built. I picked up my Glock 18 (which is about 150g lighter) and swung them both around. My glock 18c has a problem in which the outer barrel rattles against the slide, which can get a tad annoying when you are trying to be fairly stealthy, however with the Glock 17, there was very little rattle present (even when shaking it like a madman). The Glock 17 has no trademarks whatsoever on it, which does not bother me in the slightest as I'm a skirmisher rather than a collector, but for those of you where trademarks matter, then this pistol is not for you. There is a Gold coloured HFC logo on the grip, but when you are holding the pistol, your hand covers this anyway.
The Gun
Dimensions of the gun: Length - 20cm
Width - 4cm(widest point)
Height - 14cm
Weight - 600g/850g (mag in/out
Safety is activated by pulling the silver serial number plate underneath the barrel towards you. Unlike the KWA glocks it does not have the trigger safety mechanism, which used to bother me quite a bit, but I have learned to live with it now and it doesn't bother me. The trigger guard is large enough to allow shooting with gloved hands, and the sights are very easy to use. There is also a 20mm rail, so you can mount tac lights, lasers or whatever onto your gun. The magazine when placed in the gun responds with a click and once placed, remains extremely solid. To strip the gun, pull the serial plate into safe mode, remove the magazine, and pull down on the tabs on either side of the gun (they are a lot stiffer than the KWA guns), then push the slide forwards with your thumb, off the rails.
Performance
This beauty takes green gas no problems whatsoever, straight out of the box. To gas up the mags, take the magazine out of the gun, turn it upside down, slide the baseplate away from the magazine and then inject the gas. The HFC guns have silent fill valves, so don't worry if you don't think any gas is going in. I put a 4-5 second fill of gas in each of my magazines, loaded them up (they hold 24 bb's each) and proceeded to fire away at my sticky target from 7 metres away. This gun is extremely accurate, and has an extremely good kick to it. I achieved very tight groupings and a couple of times I smashed bb's already on my sticky target when firing at the same spot. I have not had a chance to properly chrono this gun yet but according to HFC and my estimations it is 260-280fps with .2g bb and green gas. Another point I would like to emphasise is the gas economy - From a 5 second fill of gas, I can get over 2 full magazines worth, which is very good.
Conclusion
Overall, I would highly recommend this gun for anyone looking for a relatively cheap, reliable, solidly built, skirmishable handgun with a metal slide fitted as standard. The plastic slided version is available too which you can pick up for around £50 from elite airsoft. The gun has no trademarks, but for myself this does not matter as I am not a collector. Also, there are many accessories available for the Glock, so making it look even more tactical than it already is, is very easy.
All in all - A well deserved 9 out of 10 for a super gun.

Just a few points to add to the prior excellent and informative review.
I picked this up at S.W.A.T (Quedgely) purely because I couldn't get hold of the KWA Glock 17. I was skeptical at first but after giving it a try I had to buy it.
Ok there's no trigger safety, but it's a long and firm enough trigger pull that it's not going to go off unless you want it to.
As said it's solid, with minimal rattle, shoots at around 265fps with ultra gas and .25BB's. It's accurate and will make a fine skirmish side arm.
The hop is accesible once the slide is removed and has indications on it as to which directions to turn it up and off.
The only real criticism I have is the mag design. Unlike the KWA mags I have for the 18C, the feed spring doesn't lock back and BB's are a tight push into the feed lips. This can make loading difficult. Also the mags are not interchangeble with KSC/KWA Glocks which is a pity as I plan on using it along side my KWA 18C.
Final points are that the sticker on the left grip panel easily comes off and it's brilliant value for money, get one.------------------------------ Truth! Justice! Freedom! And a Hard-boiled Egg!
