Positive aspects of the product (pros):
|
Plenty of stock, inc parts and service items
|
|
Negative aspects of the product (cons):
|
Everyone shops there so stuff's always sold out!
|
|
Postage
You can have your parcel delivered by either Courier (Initial), Royal Mail if its small enough or Parceforce. The only problem is that the minimum postage is £6.50. The normal order turn around is 4 days if the item is in stock. If you play at Ground Zero, you can pick your order up for free, which is what we did.
Prices
Z1 run a price promise. If someone else has got it in cheaper they will match it. For what I purchased they done a bulk order discount which was great.
Customer Service
I got updates about my order, mainly because it was out of stock but they kept me updated on when it was expected in and how I would like to recieve it. I havent dealt with them any other way although other team member have had their guns upgraded by them and seem happy enough.
Product Range
They have a great range of stock, and what they dont stock they should be able to get in if you ask. Being an ICS owner, they are an appointed distributor for ICS products, parts and spares which is a great help.
Overall
A great service from another UK shop. No shop can ever be 10/10 when you also shop at WGC! The only way they could be better is to match WGC prices, that would be heaven!

Order time: 7th march
order arrival: 14th march (due to no stock and 27 item ordered with friends)
Well i ordered with with 2 other friends so that we didnt all have to pay postage, and we would all recieve our stuff at the same time.
Here i ordered my ICS MP5A4 with alot of stuff that i need like: sling, mags, clamps, etc. I ordered on the monday and got a confirmation email (like you do). Then this is where it all went dead, i didnt recieve any email of despatch or warning of recieving date, (its not entirely there fault because they did have a delay when i ordered). they didnt tell me anything wasnt in stock, they just made me wait, but im not fussy so i dont mind. As long as i get it im fine.
Due to having such a big order, we managed to save a whopping £95(10%), which isnt bad going, so im happier with Z1
As i missed my order aswell on the 14th, i got the little note saying where to collect it. And drove down there to pick it up.
Overall it was an alright service, but maybe an email would be good, but the prices and the quality of the package impressed me alot.
I would DEFINATLEY order again because of there wide range of stock and prices.
I have just ordered with them again (11/6/07) and after reading some of the views of other people i have a slightly different view on zeroone.
Firstly i know lots of people buy from them but every time i have ordered from them something isn't in stock, and it really annoys me becuase then it gets back ordered and i have to wait for ages, ive jsut found out my scope and mount are on back order so god knows how long it will be!

I had placed an order for a marui 1911, extra mag, 2 tanks of gas and two large bags of excel bb's. No word after a week, so i rang them, they said they'd left a message on my non existant answering machine. Apparently the 1911 was out of stock, fine, i said to send all the stuff when the 1911 was back in stock.
I rang a few days later to check and they told me that the guns were back in and the gun should be dispached by the end of the week.
Almost a week passes, i phone again, they say their server is down...., say they'll phone back.... they dont. Ring them the following day, cant find my order on Parcel Force...check if its been sent. Then they tell me (2 1/2 weeks after i purchased it) that the payment didnt go through, i was puzzled... they then said my number was too long on my credit card. I get the card and read it out, along with all my other detail.... then i get hassled, apparently the member of staff had never seen a number that long...! I assured her it was correct and a normal big branch card....she still refuted it. Eventually she put it through...., after 15mins of banter.
The site has a great range, the prices are fantastic, i havent seen the new marui 1911a1 for less than £100 anywhere else but tbh i'd have paid 10 more if i had my gun now...

I placed an order for my TM P226...simple enough, but this is where the fun begins!
They called me proptly to say that it was out of stock and would be another two weeks ... doh! But fair enough!
Three weeks passed and no pistol...
I called there support line and they were very helpful, although quite slow! But granted, they did sort out the problem for me (my order had got stuck in a 'items not in stock' loop-hole in cyber-space).
Two days later I get my P226 ...yay! ...three and a half weeks after I ordered it ...
Pros: Helpful on the phone...fairly good prices
Cons: My order got stuck in a binary corner!!
This is my first purchase of airsoft items from the interweb, next time I might go with a different supplier.
Cheers!------------------------------

I've ordered with them twice. 1st time, they really got me pissed off. I wanted some goodies for the M4, I believe. Either way, order processed and card charged...8 days later, I get my order. A wee bit slow for me. I gave them a 2nd chance, got more stuffage and 48 hrs. later, it was here.
As such, I'd recommend them, I've had no set issues with them - but with items in stock and credit card payment, I expect delivery to be about 3 days max., up to 5 I can just about put up with..but that shouldn't be happening. If they got what you want and it's cheap, buy it..I would. I probably will order with them again, see what happens 3rd time around.------------------------------ - CA M15A4 CQB - G&P M4A1 Full Stock - CA MP5A4 Plus double KWA Glock 19s; Sophie & Jethie. Prices and service are good, but their staff really need to work on their attitude, and their upgrade work is somewhat lacking (upgraded gun shooting less than stock, and reluctant to repair it).
Not reccomended because of the attitude thing, and because of their "questionable" business practices, such as cybersquatting.------------------------------

i have dealt with zero one many times and never have problems. if i am unsure about a product i ring them and if they cant answer the question they pass me through to a techi and they sort me out. i had a number of custom work done by them and all works great. they honour the garentee stuff with no fuss. i.e i had new piston, spring and bushing and inner barrel with rubber worked fine for so many rounds but just stopped working so i rang the techi's and told the problem and within the next day collect it and 3 days later was back with me fixed and working great. Top people would defiantly recommend.

The last order I made came in a bulk-buy TM M14 box with images of said gun on the sides, clearly visible. Drew some stares from the delivery dude, I wasn't too impressed. I'm still amazed to this day it wasn't opened in the depot. When I complained about it they half heartedly apologised and said policy was normally to ship in unmarked boxes.
The gun received in the M14 bulk box was a VFC MK43, which upon arrival had burst through the front of its own very sturdy box. Oddly, there was no damage to the M14 box, which suggests this occured between ZeroOne and their supplier. Also, the battery lead inside the gun had been damaged to the point of bare metal showing through the plastic cabling, due to the top cover being carelessly closed. Another small niggle, but on ordering a STAR M249 Para, it came supplied (by them) with a battery size conversion lead. The MK43 did not, and cost three times as much... Bizarre.
Before that, made an order to be collected from them, and only half of it turned up. Took a week for them to get the rest of it to me.
Before that, ordered in a batch of ICS green gas which turned out to be weaker than the 134a I had lying around; it wouldn't even cycle a stock P226. Took a while for them to accept it back.
Very inflated prices on some items, and as mentioned before some shady business practices. One or two staff members were genuinely helpful and concerned about the issues I had, so it's not all bad, and I had a couple of pretty successful orders before these, but the above has just left a sour taste. I wont be using them for a while.
(EDIT - Spent upwards of £2500 with these guys in the last year, wouldn't let me enter that as an 'amount spent' )

My first purchase was an ICS AK74 upgraded to M100. It came within fairly good order and worked fine (althought I'm starting to suspect if they actually upgraded it that well).
My second purchase, however, was absolutely awful. A King Arms Dragunov, version 3. It arrived a month late for Christmas, although this was more or less excusable because it had to be ordered in from overseas.
After one skirmish, it turned out to be pretty messed up out of the box. It took two repair sessions for them to actually realise it had a loose cylinder and barrel and actually fix the problem. Oh yes, and it came back with a small amount of blue paint on the stock. It still isn't working as truly expected.
Good job Zero One, you really let yourselves down.------------------------------ Donut: Completely random I know, but did you guys know the AK metal body works really well as a tuning fork? ferretkiller: Which note?? Donut: I'm not totally sure but I think it might be a D or D shape.

Website runs pretty slow scripts at times, can sometimes freeze up!
|
|
Zero-One in my experience are without a doubt the cheapest airsoft vendors out there - both in the prices of their products and the fairness of their delivery charges. They also offer a price-match facility to ensure that you get what you want, as cheap as you can from the best retailer out there!
If I may run you through my latest order from Zero One:
Logging into their website is a bit slow at times, and occasionally I get a message box telling me that the scripts that the page is running by is slowing the computer down. I run a fairly high-end maintained PC, so it seems to be a problem with the design on their website - it definitly needs a makeover!
If the website is running, then flicking through their products is fairly organised - filtering out similar products and often accessories. It's pretty neat that you're current "bill" is displayed in the bottom right hand corner, both after tax and P&P have been added - although you always end up edging up to your top end of the budget Smart guys over at Zero-One webdesign.
After selecting what you want, placing the order is as simple as any other website. Punch in your address and card details, and if you have any additional info (eg. Promo codes) a little comments box has been inlcuded too.
The next day, I check my e-mail telling me that 60 second smokes are out of stock. They offer to retain my order and ship it all together, or ask me what I would like done. My request to upgrade to the 90 second smokes was swiftly responded to and I was told the parcel was on its way.
Delivery takes a couple of days maximum (On basic delivery charge/£6.50). What else is neat is that no matter how much you buy, the charge is always £6.50. I previously bought the STAR L85A2 and loads of accessories (weighing in at near enough 10kg and fitting in a box taller than me at 5ft 10) and the delivery was £6.50..
Previous orders have proven that their price match policy is also not a problem, although you have to trust that they will discount it before they process the order as there is no 'validation' of your promo code before you commit to buy.
As for returning goods, that isn't a problem either. Whether it does not fit, or you just don't want the item: as long as it is in a re-salable condition then they accept the item back for a full refund (P&P at your expense). You also get a nice long time to decide whether to keep the product or not.
Zero-One also have a helpline, manned by friendly staff. I have had to phone them a couple of times, and both times I have ended up in a little banter about nothing before hanging up. The staff are well trained and seem to remain happy with your custom.
-------------
Verdict:
Overall, ZeroOne have provided a flawless service to me. All communication has been prompt, as has delivery and the transactions have been consistantly friendly - ensuring repeat custom on my part
I have dealt with a few other retailers, whose service has been flawed in either their communication or delivery charges... Then retailers such as Wolf just charge far too much to start with!
Overall.. Excellent, thouroughly recommended

Made an order on the 15th August, told it would get here within 2-3 days over the phone which was fine. Another week passed and still no sign of the package. Attempts to e-mail the company were ignored and the phone lines seem to be under staffed or not staffed at all. I waited on the phone for 40mins+ today with no response. Really disappointed, I have been charged and still don't have anything to show for it.
Poor company, poor customer service. Strongly advise not using this company if you want your items within a month.

I've just placed my 3rd order with Zero1 and their service is the best that I've recieved in years. My first order was a big one, over £800 worth of guns and accesories. When I called to place the order I was given free Royal Mail special delivery postage as a few of the items were out of stock (bb holder, mag clamp, little things really). I was also told that because I was a good customer and that I also refered a few of my friends to buy from them, they would give me free postage on my next few orders (this was 8 months ago). For my third order I decided to buy a M100 upgrade kit for my M4 and true to their word, they gave me free Saturday special delevery via Royal Mail but I think this is mainly due to the face that I'll be making a large order to pyros (30 in total I think) in a few days.
Overall I would choose this retailer over the others any day purly due to their customer service and products. 10/10------------------------------ QUOTE (Gorf) There are only ten threads on the whole forum containing the word "necrophilia" - although now I've put that into words it does make me wonder what sort of forum I've got myself involved with... I have purchased from Z1 many time in the past. Even though they are not the cheapest, i do feel their prices are coming down quite a bit.
Usually receive anything i order within about 3-5 days, depending on the size and how busy they are.
I will say that Pam at Z1 is very polite and always a pleasure to talk with.
2 things i will say about Z1 though:
1 - Always call before you place the order to check stock, as their website does not show stock levels (even though they usually have most things in stock anyway)
2 - They are really bad at replying to emails! Usually about 3-4 weeks before you hear back from them. But who really cares about that.... just drop them a call, they always pick up and can help you with anything you need.
Once again i would like to thank the staff at Z1 for my last order and the helpfulness of Pam (i called enough bloody times that month) lol.
