A little while ago while I was working on my KSC MK23 Heavyweight project, I scored a metal slide and barrel set from Sniperx of AS4L. I think he said it was the Zeke metal slide and barrel set, and after a few attempts to repaint it, I finally found a coating/clolor I was happy with.
The down side of this metal slide...... You can NOT reinstall the stock KSC hopup mechanism... I guess I could live w/o hop up, but there's another alternative for this kinda of situation.
Tanio Koba's Hop Twist Barrel!!!
So thinking the Tanio Koba Hop Twist barrel was rifled I got 1 to solve my no hopup prob. Well it didn't.. Made everything worse. BB's fly EVERYWHERE.
Your bb still backspins from the hop-up, and the twists in barrel seem to act as an air "cushion" around the bb. While it doesn't seem to add too much FPS, it does seem to make your bb's flight path more consistent. Over 350 fps guns, the sprialing air tends to effect the hop-ups backspin.
I've tested on TM M14's. With stock internals and just added the barrels. Sample results on the M14 were a fps increase from 319 - 325 (Not that much more then stock). But groupings of shots seemed to be tighter. We also tried on APS Type 96's, but they were harder to gauge since they are spring snipers, and you always seem to pull off target when cocking them. Problem with running accuracy tests, is the are pretty subjective.

Putting my money where my mouth is...
OMFG The A.I.C.S. is NOT an L96, AWP or AWM!!!
