Brought at the same time as my other J-Tech items, primarily to be paired with the M7 Assault vest for which it was designed to fit into perfectly.
Constructed with a more military aspect in mind, the system is coloured OD where possible. Obviously a lot better than if it was dayglow yellow! Supplied as the fluid pouch, tube and the flat bite valve as shown. Other accesories can be purchased like the bite valve and tube covers, as reviewed in this section as well.
The pouch has two circular holes at the top, to allow it to be secured in either a specific carry pouch, reviewed in this section, or directly into the M7 assault vest by way of two velcro straps. The vest has specifc routing for the tube so works well with the vest. Being designed for it I'd be worried if it didn't.
Due to the 'head' on the water, the bite valve can just be squeezed to release water for other uses other than drinking. Once filled the cap has to be done up very tight to allow it to seal properly. This is fine until you come to take it off again. For anyone that has put water as a lubricant on an oil filter before on a fiends car for a laugh, you'll know where I'm coming from. The bite valve never leaks and is a simple push pull valve with a slit that releases water once bitten.
You may also want to purchase the cleaning kit to keep it germ free, especially if being stored for any period of time. It allows it to dry out a lot faster. The only problem you will find is that whenever you have enough water on you, you never seem thirsty. Its only when you have none you do. Well at least it keeps the rest of teh team supplied.
A simple product that provides an important fuel for your body!
