Pros:

Better than the ultra-cheap market-stall BBs
|
|
Cons:
|
SEEM-LINES, Not biodegradable as the packaging claims
|
|
I tried the Excel 0.25g BBs in an effort to gain better long-range shot-to-shot consistancy, but I wish I hadn't bothered.
These BBs are Ok, but certainly not "good".
Upon opening the bag, the first thing I noticed was that these BBs had seem-lines where the two halves of the plastic sphere had been poorly assembled (see third photo). This is definitely not a good sign, as it adversely affects the flight-path of the BB once fired.
The BBs are very "white" in appearance and do not have a polished appearance. This hinders the grip of the BB on the HOP-UP unit, but luckily it is not so bad that it is noticable.
These BBs are also NOT biodegradable as the packaging suggests (link).
Put simply, I can't understand why anyone would want to buy these BBs when there are several other brands on the market that don't have these issues.
I give these BBs an unsatisfactory 4 out of 10. There is a reason why the first batch of Excel 0.25g BBs I bought have been sitting on my shelf for nearly two years now, unused.------------------------------ New and inspiring signature coming to an R22 post near you SOON...

cheap, easy to source. OK quality
|
|
Cons:

not biodegrable, not 100% round
|

well I agree with R22 master, these BB's are not fully round and have a thick belt around their waste.
However, if you look at TM 0.25g these have the same thick band and look to be the same quality.
On a recent taregt shoot: 3 players entered with G_SPEC rifles running at factory power (300fps) and the 2 who used MARUI 0.25g both scored only half the points of the only player on EXCEL 0.25g.
All targets were 30-50m range.
tells a story I guess. Just a pity they are not biodegradable as claimed.------------------------------ Back from ENDURO 2009. Coming soon : Instructional Stealth DVD's. CLICK For our WEBSITE, or HERE for YOUTUBE. GOOD HUNTING

None to be honest when comparing with KSC.

OMG!!11one2three. To add to the flame, after I added the excel .20 review I thought it's over. So there I have 2 more bags of .25's to blow in order to come clean with only KSC's. So these 2 weeks I am shooting like mad I prolly used 5 can's of green I lost count. Anyway I am down to 500 rounds left of these stuff now and what a nightmare. It's until you fill the bb with a bb loader that you noticed that these yucky .25's are even worse than the .20's.
Once in a while my bb loader would get completely jammed. The only way to clear it is to poke the last one back up and push again. It happens on all the guns: KSC G19, SV, DK, P14. Although they clear the gun ok, the KJW P14 with a fixed small hopup will spill 1 bb in 4 mags.
Please don't get this! I don't know the price in UK but in hong kong these are selling for the same price as KSC's with only 2200 rounds. Whereas KSC's comes in 3000 rounds.
I just had a pistol game with pure KSC's 2 weeks ago and lent the glock and the KJ out, nobody had trouble filling mags or spilling bb out the barrels.
I gave it a 5 because, well it's functional, most of the time. pfft.------------------------------ Join in Arnie's TS Server and chat voice!! 72.36.135.154:8222 Teamspeak! My Airsoft Gallery | Hissing Sid's Still Da Man.QUOTE Sledge: Don't know what it shoots on 134a, because I'm not a girl.

Spherical Shape, Smooth Finish, Works great in 6.03mm Dia. Barrels, Fragments on Impact
|
|
Cons:
|
Only 2200 a Bag, Not as Biodegradeable as Advertized, Fragments on Impact.
|

I must contest the 3 previous reviews of this item. I have tried out several brands of bb's and see no ballistic difference between the popular brands at my local site (Mostly Airsoft Elite and Excel, the occasional Maruzen brand BB's and noname crap too).
I have never found a misshappen bb.
I have never found a significant seam.
I have never found a ballistic trajectory altering bb (A shot that flys in a random direction other than at my intended target).
I have never seen a significant air bubble in the center of these bb's when hand cut in half with a sharp knife.
All bb's have air bubbles, some moreso than others... I've never seen anything bad about Excel .25 bb's in terms of their density.
I list "Fragments on Impact" as both a positive and negative item. Negative, because some people see a safety issue with fragments of bb's hitting nearby solid objects possibly slipping through an air hole in your goggles or for those people who wear wire mesh goggles. I, being naturally screwed up, see bb fragmentation as a positive feature. If you're pounding into a tree or solid bunker above a known contact, the fragmentation and sharp bits of bb's hitting this target may motivate him or her to move. I've seen it happen, and despite the lack of realism, I consider it a valid tactic in an effort to get a well hidden target to move.
I gave these BB's a 9, because nothing is perfect, and these bb's perform as advertized.------------------------------ - Coop CA SCAR-L, Inokatsu RPK, AEX Custom AKS74u, TM MP5kE KSC Glock 17, TM SOCOM, CAW H&K69a1</span> I searched a foreign land, for years and years I roamed I gazed a gazeless stare, we walked a million hills I must have died alone, a long long time ago

Pros:

The ones in the bottle make a nice maraca if you shake them, ideal for impromptu concerts.
|

Cons:

About everything else, really
|
|
I picked up a bottle of these along with a new Systema hop-up rubber for my M15A4 Carbine the last time I went to Airsoft Armoury.
I finally got around to testing them today, and...oh dear...
At first I noticed a LOT of resistance trying to load my G&P midcaps using my TM speedloader. I thought this strange, but I've had problems with speedloaders before so on I went.
I went into the garden to set up my new hop-up using the 0.26g BBs, and got about 5 rounds off before it jammed. At first I assumed the mag wasn't feeding, so I removed it, and 2 or 3 BBs fell out of the chamber - the mags were feeding fine. Then I put the mag back in and fired off...about 5 more shots. And it jammed again. I thought I'd obviously buggered the hop-up or barrel while fitting the barrel, but I thought "I wonder what happens if I try 0.2g BBs?".
I went back inside and loaded up a mag with HFC 0.2g BBs, my current favourite brand. The first thing I noticed was that the 'dodgy' speedloader was now loading the magazines as smooth as silk. Loading the magazine into the gun, I managed to fire a whole mag with no problems.
Frankly, I won't touch them again. I'd test them in another gun, but I'm afraid it'll break the speedloader, or worse, the gun. There's no way I'm using these in my Western Arms 1911...
Simply put, avoid these like the plague. I gave them a 2 because they work as a pleasing set of maracas, but that's about it. |

Very consistent, high gloss, relatively fair price
|
|
Cons:

A bit delicate which makes me nervous to use them
|
|
Although I like Excel bb's (they were the first bb's that I bought consistently before moving to KSC and later to Madbull) I have a hard time using them as the bb's make me nervous. Of all the airsoft bb's I've ever used these seem the most delicate, shattering on contact when fired from even stock TM guns (280-ish in FPS) which my overly dramatic mind has them shattering into pieces in my guns mid cap magazines and clogging the works and/or scraping and damaging my tightbore barrels. Be that as they may they are very good bb's and have a very consistent weight and quality so if you put them in a very well tuned gun you get a very consistent shot pattern which is a definite plus during a match.------------------------------ Never argue with a gun, it may argue back...
