Now I have never been to the walk-in store front of Kapowwe, but if I lived by it, going from this past experience, I would not want to go -- ever.
It started March 6th, with the ordering a CA M15 SPC and a battery... a total of $415 (USD).
The item description states that the gun will be here in 10 days. Well, seven days passed and no word from the company that it shipped.
Worried, I called Mastercard. Guess what? Kapowwe took the money and still hadn't shipped the item -- meaning that I was still charged $415 and my gun was still in their dirty hands.
The next day, we called Mastercard and told them to cancel it, since Kapowwe wouldn't do it.
Now, mind you at day five I sent them an email asking them to cancel it. I got the email about four days later. This is the email, read it, but I must stress the last line:
"Hello,
Per your request, we will not ship this order. Since we were informed by you that a chargeback has already been initiated with the credit card
company, we have not issued a credit. We take chargeback threats seriously. You will need to proceed with your chargeback so we are not charged twice, once by our refund then a second time by your chargeback.
Note that our website stated there was a 10 business day delivery time on the CA SPC Rifle. Because of the 10 day delivery, that allows us to offer the free shipping. Your chargeback was initiated before the stated shipping time had even past. We upheld our part of the transaction.
We'd appreciate it if you would not do business with us in the future."
Basically, the whole problem was that they -NEVER- gave me a shipping date, and when emailed about the shipping date I recieved a reply stating it would be here within 10 days... yeah, OK.
Don't waste your time on them. I've also heard they sell refurbished items, but cannot confirm this. |

Well, having got into airsoft a year ago, me and my wife came across the kapowwe company. We drove all the way from huntsville texas to the store front to check it out/ see about airsoft. I got there at closing time but the held the store open and I ended up ordering a p90, with my wife ordering a m9 barreta blowback.
Later on, as I came to understand airsoft and the market it has become, I came to realize that I didn't have places to play, so I decided to head back to kapowwe and ask where they go. I ended up getting to know the owner and he realy impressed me with the amount of effort he put into his work.
My review comes after me recent g36 purchase. I originaly bout a lemon g36 (classic army) from a store and was very upset as all would be that classic army shiped out a junk gun. Upon hearing of this, the techs at kapowwe checked my gun over (for free) replaced the wiring harnes (free again) and returned it to me woking. When, later as I found, the classic army wiring harnesses have a tendancy to be defective, Shannon, the owner of kapowwe replaced my g36 with a brnd new one box and all no questions asked.
When I told him that it wasnt his fault he told me that I had gotten a bad gun , and it wa time for me to get a new one. I was very impressed by this near selfless act.
He also allows people to play at his airsoft field FREE OF CHARGE. He has (many times) shipped me parts, replacement and new alike) for near minimal or free postage and has generaly gone out of his way to help any customer that comes to his store or calls (I have observed it with my own eyes.
I may sound biased but i'm being fair. I've ordered from many sites now that I am experieced but I will tell any body considering buying from kapowwe that they are one of the best and deffinatly the most trusted retailer I have come across thus far.
The only downside to the webstore is that they dont have all of the possible products one might want. But much of the pricing is very fair and the piece of mind of being able to ask the opinion of the techs in honesty is a big plus.
Final word: Great place to shop airsoft.
My purchases from them include: ca g36, landmine, p90, 3 battery chargers, 4 batterys, ca ca33e, cmag, etc supplies.

I have order from Kapowwe twice.
The first order was for an ICS MP5A4 starter package. I order in the morning and later that afternoon I got an email saying that they where out of stock on the A4 and asked if I would like a SD5 instead at no additional cost. (The SD was $10 more)I said yes and one week later it was at my doorstep. Not bad for free shipping.
The second time I order a CM028 and some mags for it. I called them to inquire on their Paypal policy about direct bank transfers instead of credit card transfers. They women I talked with (Laura I believe her name was) was polite, informative and took her time answering my questions. The free shipping took a week to get for Texas to California (including a weekend).
I also must compliment their packaging. Both times I ordered from them the items were secured and padded with a lot of packaging peanuts. My MP5 came with enough of them to swim in.
The only thing I really don't like and I would like to see an improvement is the variety of items they carry. It is quite limited.
Great retailer. I'd recomend them to anyone.

Okay I decided that I would order from Kapowwe to see what they were like. I ordered my KWA G19 and holster and watched everydayas I got the emails concerning the shipping, and availablity of my order as normal. When I put gas in my mag I loaded it up but after 1 mag it started to leak. I called them up and talked with their customer service and they were nice and told me to send it back and I had a couple of questions about the gun and they helped me also. So about a week from me shipping it to them I had it back in my hands. I opened it up to find something VERY depressing.....an high cap mag...Just kidding but I thought that was cool they gave me a bigger mag! So for a good Texas store they are pretty good. P.S. get a calling card so you can call them if you have any questions as this helps out a lot!------------------------------ For Sale: Full Steel AKMS and TM UZIAnyway, interest in airsoft and being "afraid of those evil real-steel guns" at once is either schizophrenia or hypocrisy.

I have purchased a few guns and accessories from Kapowwe, each item was shipped promptly and received in a timely manner.
I have had two guns upgraded by them and both have performed excellently.
I will commend the owner for his business ethics and make a special mention of JR the airsoft tech, he is extremely patient and courteous, I was having an issue with a tightbore barrel I was installing and he spent quite a long amount of time on the phone with me as we solved the problem.
These guys rock!!!

Up until recently, I have liked kapowwe. They had some parts and some guns that are hard to find other places. I happily bought my CM .028-s from them, some more bits and bobs, and never had to go through their customer service. Ah the good old days...
But recently I ordered a Mad Bull tightbore from them. They called my house, saying it was out of stock. Ok. No big deal. I call them (during buisiness hours) and they don't answer. I say that I would like them to hold on to my money, and ship me the barrel when they get it. The next day they call back saying the shippment from Mad Bull would be there Friday, May 3. It is now the sixth, and I have heard nothing from them. They have my 52 some odd dollars and haven't made ANY contact. Needless to say, I'm quite mad. Friday I sent them an email saying I would like a refund, if they haven't already shipped out the barrel. No response...
We'll just have to wait and see how this unfolds, but as for the review, I give them overall, a 4. The shipping can be slow, but that's no big deal. I do NOT reccomend www.kapowwe.com unless they have something you can't find ANYWHERE else. I hope this all clears up...------------------------------ c/SSgt. US Army JROTC
