Pros: Adjustable
Cons: Colour can vary from stock gun

Another one of G&P's offerings for the G36 series, this time in the form of an adjustable stock. The stock is supplied with a battery connection extension kit so it needed it can be rewired so the battery can sit in the stock. This may not be necessary, it really depends if they stock is purchased for its looks or function. If full adjustability is required, then the battery that is made for the product would not be suitable as it doesnt allow the stock to be used in its two shortest positions. In this case either get a smaller custom battery made with different cell configuration or size or leave the battery in the handguard.

The stock can be adjusted to four different lengths. This is done by means of the usual crane stock fashion, of a spring loaded rocker plate that is simply depressed, moved and a pin locating to secure. The lengths of adjustment are approximately 220, 240, 280 or 310mm as apposed to the standard stocks that sit at approximately 235 and 260mm.

The build quality IMO is not up to that of the stock CA gun, seam lines and jointing are clearly visiable and it may not take the same type of abuse the standard one will. With the large type battery to the rear, the balance seems very biased towards the rear on a K version, as apposed to a mini type battery mounted in the handguard, which seems much more equal. This will vary depending on what length gun you are using and what attachments you have to the front.

With the battery fitted correctly, with the connections facing the rear of the gun, the stock locks back very securely both in its intended position and with it rotated next to the gun. Have the battery fitted incorrectly and you wont be able to lock the stock next to the gun as the battery blocks the window, as shown in the picture.

If a different battery is to be used the rewire kit will have to be modified as it is intended to be used with deans connectors. I think this is G&P trying to shut of the market and ensure people use their battery rather than another custom configuration.

Overall this is a nice stock, one that will stand out from the crowd in both form and function, but I for one will be sticking with the standard C or K stocks, when I have decided what length feels better and with a mini battery in the handguard. Apparetnly Prime also offer a similar product but I have yet to actually see one.

Pros: Looks, large battery.
Cons: Battery conectors

I have recently purchased this item and fitted it to my TM G36c.
As I have a sun projects M203 mounted on RIS i'm very happy about the fact that the battery moves the centre of gravity to the rear.
The fitting of the battery was slightly problematic as the previous review states it comes with 'deans connectors' so I cut the Tamia connector of one of my large batteries and fitted two female 'spade' connectors, these were then attached to the female 'deans connector' (supplied) and insulated using the heat shrink (supplied). As for charging, the kit also comes supplied with a female 'deans connector' on two lengths of cable these were attached to a tamia type battery connector using a connector block. (If I had a spare unused large tamia connector it would have been simpler to fit it directly but I didn't so the second hand item was used.)

One thing to watch out for when removing the original stock is the small grub screw that secures the stock pin in place. If you drop it, it takes a lot of looking to find the little s*d

I'm very happy with this upgrade as i'm not to bothered about total reality when it comes to my toys, I just want it to work better and work well. The G&P stock does both of these, along with the ability to adjust for length.

Pros: Solid. Rigid. Adjustable. Good price.
Cons: Color is slightly off both CA and TM guns. Cannot collapse all the way with custom battery.

The color can vary, yes.

However, I believe this is the best upgrade I have ever bought for my G36. It is solid, strong, and has varying length that allow you to perform differnt roles in the same game.

I strongly recommnend this stock to all G36 users. I love mine.

Pros: By far the best battery option for the G36.
Cons: Maybe a little pricy, finish isn't up to a CA or TM stock, colour is off

I could say, 'this is good' and all that rubbish; but that means bugger all.

I bought it to hold a 12volt Sub-C cell battery, on the longest position it can probably hold a 13.2volt sub-c. The problem is they should have put more holes in for more positions, I drilled my own because the gap between the longest and the second longest is huge. (The second longest not being able to accommodate a 12volt sub-c)

It comes with wiring so you can simply re-route your wiring to the rear from the front mini tamiya connector. I wouldn't bother doing this, just re-solder directly to the trigger switch flanges; cut out the extra connection. It even comes with heat shrink if you don’t have any.

Also it makes life easier if you remove the holding block from the top of the gearbox and lose the 3mm Allen bolt; so the wires follow the top of the gearbox out of the rear.

I'm 6'2" and at the longest setting the reach is a tiny bit too far, at my drilled setting the stock is just about right. A 9.6v Sub-c will give all but microbial life enough reach to the trigger. You’ll only really need to go into 4/5th Sub-C batteries if you’re short and want 12volts.
