This side mount is designed to mount flashlights/lasers etc off to the side of the gun out of the way of iron sights or handles etc. This can be seen in the pictures mounted to the G36, clearing the handle as to allow for a long torch, or could be mounted ontop of a gun, to offset an item away from the iron sights, or a Red Dot Sight.
Attachment and securing is done by two allen key headed bolts which also secure it on the mount and stop its moving forwards and backwards. An ideal mount when leaving on for any period of time.
Very well coated and cast with no weak spots visable. No position numbers on rail due to short length, but then nothing that realy needs to be zeroed is likely to be mounted at this angle of 45°.
A simple but effective mount that will last a lifetime of abuse.
