Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fast service, Reliable, Honest, Good Customer Service, Great prices, Good stock levels, Lots of unusual products you won't find anywhere else
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

I have placed 4 orders with WGC Shop and they have made it as easy as possible for me every step of the way. Here's the break-down...

The Web-Site

The WGC Shop website is great. It's certainly not a masterpiece of web technology, but that's not what you want is it. All I want from a web site is a simple, clear layout, lots of photos, all relevant information on products, and a Search feature that works. This one has the lot.

I would say that some products have more information than others. For example, the G&G UMG AEG has a load of relevant information as to the product and accessories, but something like the Guarder Tornado Tactical Thigh Holster has nothing other than its name on-screen.

Other than that, and compared to the opposition, WGC's web site is a pleasure to use.

The Product Range

The product range is excellent. Every time I have placed an order from overseas I check out the top few retailers (WGC, UNco, Redwolf, Guns'n'Guys, etc...) to try and fill my list. Whomever has the most products, wins my order. Every single time though, WGC has won this little competition.

They sell replicas of course and have a great range of them available. However, it is the more unusual things I tend to order from them as they are impossible to find in the UK. Things like recoil springs for the Hi-Capa, metal rocket valves for KWA Glocks, Black BBs, SERPA holsters, enhanced loading nozzles, metal body kits, and the ever-wonderful "Guarder" range of products.

Put simply, if WGC don't have it, it is unlikely anyone else will either.

The Ordering Process

Every product has its own page. On this page is a small box where you type the number of that product you want to add to your order. Once you have selected what you want, you proceed to the checkout, confirm your order and it is sent to WGC for them to make a quote for the order.

And here is where you often get a nice surprise. Of my 4 recent orders with them, 3 of them came back with a discount added! That was unexpected. The discounts I have been given ranged from 5% to 3%, and that can really help when you are placing a large order. Shipping costs are also calculated as part of the quote.

Once the quote is returned to you, you just send them the money via the method you selected and your order is finalized.

The Shipping

Once your order has been finalized, you are automatically e-mailed a tracking number. You can monitor the progress of your order via the WGC web site until it is shipped.

Once shipped, the shipping tracking number takes over and you can watch your new toys winging their way to you.

Shipping options include slow land-based transit, right up to fast special delivery. On average it takes about 3 working days for an order to reach a UK address from the WGC warehouse in Hong Kong - that's FAST! I placed one order on Friday morning and it arrived the Monday afterwards! That's the same as next-day delivery from a UK shop - I was most impressed.

Shipping costs from WGC are also among the cheapest of all the Hong Kong retailers.

When things go wrong

This is the test of any trader - how do they cope when things don't go according to plan.

On one of my orders, I was shipped two SOCOM magazines instead of the two Hi-Capa magazines I ordered. Upon inspection of the delivery, I notified WGC of this, and they offered to swap them for the correct magazines immediately. They also gave me store-credit to cover the shipping costs of sending the magazines back.

WGC offer a standard 3 day warranty on all kit sold (30 days on WGC custom guns). This may not sound like a lot, but it is enough to ensure that the products were not faulty out-of-the-box. They also test all guns before they are shipped to avoid sending out a 'lemon'.

Conclusion

I have really enjoyed shopping with WGC, and I now have a load of unusual and interesting Airsoft products that I never thought I would be able to get hold of. They have been a fair and honest trader every step of the way, and their customer service is prompt and effective.

Thank you WGC - I will be shopping with you again soon Wink

Positive aspects of the product (pros): GREAT Customer Service!
Negative aspects of the product (cons): None

Below is a review I originally posted here a few years ago and many airsoft purchases ago.

I average about 1 order with WGC every other month for the last 2 or so years.

They are still consistent with their excellent customer service and I may have become even more of a "difficult" customer (Changing my mind after I paypal funds), but always WGC has come through for me.

My only VERY MINOR gripe is it always seems to take about 1 week for WGC to ship product after funds are sent. But orders have always been correct and shipping has been on time.

Original Review
-------------------------------------------------
I have purchased many airsoft guns and accessories from Hong Kong and locally here in California. I have been very fortunate to have met an dealt with some great people and purchased some great airsoft products and services. In most cases Japan will not ship airsoft directly to the U.S. and precautions have to be made for Hong Kong retailers to sell to the U.S. because of U.S. Gun Control Laws and Manufacturer Copyrights.

Wargame Club
Location: Hong Kong

I have purchased a 1 aeg from Wargame Club and many accessories:
Marui G3/SG1

I ordered this gun from Wargame Club (WGC) and had them add spring and gearbox upgrade. The upgrade they installed was wonderful and this gun has great accuracy and distance plus full auto capabilities. I added a Marui scope mount, HK Sling and Rubber Armored X40 Scope.
From the time I sent them funds via Paypal this rig arrived at my door in 5 working days. Very efficient service!

I have lost count of how many orders I have placed for accessories from WGC, but there have been many and each one gets to me in 2 to 3 days after sending them money. I now seem to place all my orders for airsoft accessories and replacement parts to WGC.

Their website is simple but easy to navigate for the amount of items they list, their shipping costs are very reasonable and have a very good selection of parts. They may not be the first to carry custom parts from Japan, but when they get them you can be sure they have them in stock. I have been able to repair many AEG's and Gas Guns due to the fact WGC offers all the spare parts needed.

Their email replies are prompt and pleasant and both pre and post service communication are good. They are also the most patient and reasonable of airsoft retailers. There has been more then 1 occasion where I needed to change an item in an order after I sent money and right before they shipped the product, but they were happy to help in all situations.

WGC offers alot of Custom Rigs with some interesting variants of Marui AEGs. They also offer a great selection of beginners packages. I have referred at least 10 of my friend to purchase directly from WGC. They seem to be very sensitive to what people who play airsoft need. Although they don't offer the high ticket items like Den Trinity does, they seem to have a good mix of offerings to cover the beginner to the advanced airsoft player.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): First class service and after sales care, great value, unique items
Negative aspects of the product (cons): None

I took the plunge and ordered my first AEG from HK as I wanted a CA36K and WGC were the only place to have it in stock, and at a fair price. I was a bit worried about ordering from HK, especially as it was my first gun and wasn't sure what would happen if any of my items were faulty...I shouldn't have worried.

My CA36K and GP 1100 mah battery arrived 2 days after purchase and in great condition. After charing the battery I was dying to give the gun a spin and see what it was like but for some reason the battery just wouldn't work in the gun.

I decided to order two more batteries from WGC (they were so much cheaper than a UK supplier than even with shipping i saved a lot of money).I ordered an intellect 1200 mah and another GP 1100 battery. Again the GP one just didn't work in the gun so I decided to contact WGC and find out what I could do.

They emailed me back saying to send both batteries back and that they would give me store credit on the price of shipping the batteries back to them, as well as send me out two new batteries. I was rather happy with this, as im sure most people would be.
Once they received the batteries though they found out the GP ones wouldn't work in any gun that ran at anything over than a stock TM gun so decided to send me out two new intellect 1200 mah batteries instead, free of charge! I was amazing, considering the intellects where a better mah and cost $5/6 more than the GP ones.

throughout this process WGC constantly kept me informed on what was going on and were extremely friendly. I would not hesitate to order from them again and recommend them to anyone wishing to purchase from HK. They are excellent.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): reliable, good service, no problems, proven
Negative aspects of the product (cons): it's in HONG KONG so I cannot go and visit!

well, the reviews above sum up WGC.

They have a great range od Airsoft products often hard to find anywhere else. The website is a pleasure to browse around and there is always something new. It is updated regularly and appears to have accurate stock levels.

My old club ordered thousands of pounds worth of AIrsoft goodies from WGC every 6 months for years. Never once did we have a problem or did anything arrive that did not work. They obviously test guns before they send them out at tehir end. This really helps avoid dissapointment of getting your new toy and finding it's faulty.

All parcels were well packaged and arrived promptly, considering the sheer size of the orders we placed.

Use these guys and don't try to save a few pounds shopping with less reliable importers. I can only praise them.

Just a pity you won't be able to use them here, once VCR kicks in....

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Customer Service that truly defines the term
Negative aspects of the product (cons): None

I am adding this review to all the other very positive reviews of WGC to share a nice "Christmas Story" about my good friends at WGC.

I made two very late Holiday purchases this Christmas- One item was a "Merry Christmas to Me" gift, (Well, someone has to hook a brotha up! Wink ) and the other two were real bonifide Christmas presents for others. As I said they were made very late, and as such I had no illusion that they would arrive stateside in time for opening on Christmas day and had already mentally prepared the recipients that "Santa may be delayed a bit this year"

To further complicate matters I made these purchases from two different HK retailers- WGC and Redwolf, due to availability considerations and again, fully understanding that there was no way they would arrive in time.

I placed an order for one Tokyo Marui 4.3 HiCapa and the HFC "Box Cannon" Mauser with WGC on Dec 19th. I placed an order for the new KSC .45 USP with Redwolf on the 22nd. (I will finish the Redwolf story in an addition to their review section) The WGC order left HK on the 20th and arrived in California with Customs on the 21st, where I expected it to sit until after Christmas. Bear in mind that when I placed the order I made no mention of these being Christmas presents, nor did I pay for any different shipping that I usually do- being an American that has worked in retail I would have expected a "Yeah Right" kind of response to that request. Also understand that when WGC shipped the order they would have no way to predict how long the Customs inspection would take once the package arrived here in the US.

Christmas Day started very early in the Guinness household, as I'm sure it does all around the globe. My son recieved many great things this year- A video iPod, A Joey Jordison signed Snare drum for his drum kit, new symbols, heads and a new Pearl hi-hat stand, as well as tons of band t-shirts and other music related stuff. He was psyched.

Then around noon, I heard a knock on the door- remember that Christmas fell on Sunday this year- and there, standing with a Christmas smile on his face, was a courier with a familar green plastic shipping bag in his hand. I couldn't believe it! Somehow, WGC had anticipated that there may be a hold up in Customs, and without me even requesting it, they took steps to make sure by scheduling a private courier service to come out on Christmas Sunday!!!

As an American it is sometimes easy to become jaded and cynical in this busy, hectic world- As a parent, it is even easier to become that way when so much of the 'Christmas Spirit' is your responsibility- In a completely unexpected act, WGC has restored not only my faith in the kindness and generosity of my fellow humans, but also the Airsoft retail market and a group of people on the other side of the world that I will probably never meet face to face.

Thank you WGC- From this day forward to me, WGC stands for "With Great Compassion" You made this Christmas a truly special one for me and my family and have made a lifetime customer.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Always have what you want. Great prices, even better customer support.
Negative aspects of the product (cons): None yet

A company like no other I have used before. Why cant more companies be like this in the UK, with the prices would be nice lol.

Never had a problem with them, everything has always arrived. Had a problem with some batteries for a CA36K I had ordered from them, got one of the first ones so before people had found the problems they have with batteries. Suffice to say, WGC carried out some tests, agreed to take the batteries back, credited my postage for store credit, sent out more expensive batteries and covered postage all at no extra cost!!!

Also nice to see discount given on larger orders, without even having to ask. I hope the cookie doesnt crumble as the next order is $3500 with a nice 12% discount including 5% discount for using a bank transfer.

The stock alarm system is also a great idea, allows you to keep track of items and in doing so managed to add items jsut before I paid for it. Without the stock alarm wouldnt have checked again, after they said 1-2month wait for the part, turned out to be 5 day wait!!

Always a speedy reply to any questions and so far have happily updated orders manually to save me time redoing them all over again!

Delivery is always so fast, the only thing that ruins it is the UK postal services. That and having to pay so much on postage, the way it goes though and combining the order with friends always helps cut the cost.

Easily the best airsoft seller out there.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good selection, competitive price, professional service
Negative aspects of the product (cons): a bit slower in processing than some of the other HK retailers.

WGC shop is overall an excellent online retailer based in Hong Kong (I've never visited their walk in store, so this review doesn't apply to that). There's not much to say that haven't been said by the above reviews. Just to re-state the truth, they have one of the best selection on airsoft things, from guns to accessories, and most their price is quite competitive, including the hidden shipping price to the US. Their website is fairly clear and easy to navigate, and their online customer service is fairly quick to answer questions and send quotes.

If there's anything they need to improve on, it's their processing time. At other places such as GnG or UNco, they can process an order and get the package on the plane so much faster than WGC's (well, just about 2 days faster, but when you are counting the seconds when your new toys is arriving, it seems like eternity).

Overall, still an exllent professional retailer, and highly recommended.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Stocks the parts other shops cannot reach ;)
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Slow shipping quotes and dispatch times

Great, handy store for minor parts and bits. They charge a high minimum price though (it cost me more for shipping on a valve and 3 seals than the items cost) and it took 12 days from order to shipping without any communication on the delay.

Id buy parts from here, much less likely to buy larger items. There are cheaper and faster stores available.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): customer service excellent, great range,
Negative aspects of the product (cons): would be useful if they had a 'coming soon' section

Considering the range of goods and services supplied by WGC i think they do an excellent job. And if they are a little slow at times i think it can be forgiven owing to different time zones and the workload caused by sudden rushes on various items.

They keep you informed of any delays (my last order was looking at and unforsen delay which was dealt with by altering the order)

and any future delays on the site there is this following warning

WGC will be on vacation from 15th to 21st Feb 2007 in observance of the Chinese New Year. Limited services are available in this period. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

I think this is great.

Look if you want the best for your money and are willing to buy sight unseen get your gun from here.

Just make sure you are ready for the following
1) UPS to ask for an email confirming the goods inside are Airsoft, and approx power output.
2) the various different import tax costs (seems to be differnt every order) i always say put 50% of the item costs on the package.
3) That you delivery could come anytime so post it somewhere you know there will be someone. I post mine to work or my dads
4) That pictures and descriptions are no way near as good as holding an example of what you want
5) That you will be very tempted to use them again and form an additction.
6) and the VCR bill may make it more akward to ship things after april 2007 , ie you may well need to be a member of a local site/club and be a registered player if i understand it all correctly

cheers

Positive aspects of the product (pros): The best selection of any airsoft dealer, First to get some items anywhere, very fair prices on items, quick responses to questions
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Shipping prices are a bit high compaired to other HK dealers, will not ship guns with intact trades to the US (a big con to me)

WGC is a great HK dealer mainly because they've essentially got the database on airsoft guns and related products. The prices on most of their items are some of the best in the world and they have great customer service. They ship the fastest out of any HK dealer, usually within a day or so however that comes at one heck of a price as out of almost all other HK airsoft dealers, they have the highest shipping costs. I dont understand why anymore as other companies like redwolf and ebaybanned have found ways to ship items cheaper, even those that are fairly heavy. Be that as it may WGC is a pleasure to work with and if you ask them to preupgrade a gun their workmanship is very, very good. One thing that US buyers should be aware of though is that no mater how you ask or what you ask them to do, WGC WILL NOT ship to the US an airsoft gun with illegal intact trademarks. On plastic guns they burn them off and on metal guns they gouge them out. For that reason I basically never buy guns from them unless I plan to replace the area's trademarked with aftermarker bodies and such.
