Cons:

Head is a little bulbous, my lamp broke from dropping it, not as white-hot, blazing celestial light-of-the-gods that Surefire has

First Impressions
I recently purchased the NexTorch T9 from Airsoft Atlanta's store front. The price of the light was $24.99 USD. The torch comes in a nice black box made of high-quality cardboard with the Nextorch logo on it. Upon opening the box, you are greeted with a nice foam pad that holds the torch and its 3 batteries. The batteries are Surefire style (CR123 cells) and are advertised as having a run time of 90 minutes.
Body and Aesthetics
The torch has a very sexy CNC machined aluminum body with a matte black finish. The torch is maglite durable in my opinion. Ive knocked it around with anything bending or breaking. The Nextorch logo is lasered in on the flat part of the handle. The remainder of the handel is a very grippy texturized metal that feels great in your hands. The light is operated on a push-button tailcap for momentary use. A twist of the tail cap turns the light on for extended use. The manual tells you not to run the flashligh consistently for more than 15 minutes. I havent tried... and dont think I will :D .
The front of the flashlight is made of the same black aluminum and twists on and off to allow access to the bulb. The front assembly falls out easily when you remove the head, so no needless picking with a knife is needed to get your flashlight in pieces. The bulb is spring-loaded and filled with high pressure Xenon gas. Surrounding it is a parabolic mirror that intensifies the light.
Allright, so youve gotten the outside rundown, but what really matters is performance, and here, the T9 shines (yes, pun intended  )
Performance
At a recent skirmish, it was more night than dusk, but not quite pitch black. Giddy over my new purchase, I walk out into the field and press my tailcap. SHWING! A blinding beam of light slices through the night and illuminates a patch of woods easily 50 meters away brighter than daylight. I shined several of my friends (sometmies with permission, other times without) and they all reported that they got "the spot" that comes from blinding lights. Overall, an excellent tactical torch system.
Pros
- Great, rugged body and aesthetics
- Bliding light
- Cheap Cheap Cheap
Cons
-Bulbous head makes storage difficult for my pouches
- My lamp broke when my dog dragged it off the counter. Dont drop on hard surfaces. The torch will survive, but your lamp wont
Overall, I gave this product an 8 out of 10. I looses a point for the fragile lamp, and another point for the bulbous head. If thats a problem, go for the more streamlined T6.
