Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Good physical clone
Cons:
optics are lacking
I wanted to get a compact red dot that sat low profile enough to use the iron sight on my G36c. The Star S-Point fille dthe requirement.
The Star S-Point is a clone of the Zeiss Z-Point sight. Physically it's a good copy. Functionally there's room for improvement even among the many red dot copies out there.
There is only 1 brightness setting which is either on or off, adn the body seem sto be mostly made of plastic. I'm also a but worried about the durability of the spring loaded rail clamp and even the sigle button switch.
Overall, get this sight for looks alone. Functionality wise, a Guarder or King Arms Aimpoint clone at least has variable brightness.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Good clone, small, light, quick mounting
Cons:
Dodgy switch, poor optics, dot too bright
I basically got this for my MP7 (HK use the Zeiss Z-Point of which this is a copy) as a quick detachable scope...you can still use the MP7's pistol sights through it but not the flip-up rifle sights.
The optics are BAD (think brown-ish sight picture like cheapo plastic lens binoculars) and the dot is WAY too bright. It also only has On/Off...no dot-brightness adjustment and the switch doesnt always work properly. I accidently left it on overnight and the dot is actually ideal brightness now lol.
The spring-loaded mounting button is MUCH too strong, meaning its difficult to attach/detach and it actually scratched up the rail on my MP7! And its only made of plastic! (You can remove one of the springs to alleviate this problem though)
Plus the lug to keep it in position on the rail is ever so slightly larger than the Picatinny 5mm spacing so it won't always seat properly.
If I'd paid $40 for this I wouldn't have been so peeved, but there are much better optics out there for much less...AVOID the S-Point!!!
