Ok, this is my first review and I thought I'd do it on my latest purchase. I purchased my Firefox Commando Throat Mike from Airsoft Mart and it arrived the very next day on Special Delivery. Fast service from a very helpful shop.

Mike, radio and PTT switch.
First Impressions
Ripped open the huge Jiffy bag they was packaged in and I was a little disappointed to say the least, they was tiny in size. Grabbed my Motorola PMR and threw it to my bag as I was late for work. Realised that I'd have no to try the mikes out with so sent a Team-mate a text to take his radio with him so we could use them at lunch. Needless to say I spent most of morning at work like a kid with a new toy. Couldn't wait to try them out.

Throat mike and ear tube.
First Test
Lunch rolls around and my Team-mate is waiting for me. Picked everything up and went outside. Sat in the sun trying to work out where I could put everything and went off walking round the retail park, in and out of shops trying to see how crystal clear everything was coming across. All I can say is I was really impressed. A loud busy retail park with building work going on all around me and I could hear and be heard perfectly. The only problem I found from my first test is that the Motorola adaptor I bought at the same time did not fit my radio (TA200). I solved this problem by treating myself to a new radio (Motorola T5422)
Battle Testing
Last Sunday I went to Phoenix Urban to give my new toys a full Battle Testing. For those that don't know this site it is an old run-down factory with a mixture buildings to use and skirmish in. Now with such close combat silent clear comms is important. Before playing I had heard stories that using throat mikes lead to you sounding almost like a robot. This is not true in the case of the Firefox mike, my team-mates could hear me down to the lowest whisper and could clearly tell it was me sending the information. This gave us an advantage as I was the forward scout in some games where covert radio communications were needed. The mike survived some mad dives and dashes for cover and a fall down a dirt pile intact. The remote PTT switch was also useful beyond belief as I could place it where I could easily grab at it to transmit. all in all a very successful first battle test.

Motorola radio and Remote PTT switch.
Upsides
First of all, this mike is very light. I forgot I was wearing it at times. Secondly, the sound from the mike is perfect. It is the best I have used. The ear tube is very comfortable and looks l33t. It fits my ear perfectly and stayed there until I took it out. And finally the PTT switch is beautifully made and has a nice positive click to it.
Downsides
The only real downside I could find was that the mike slipped down my neck a little during one of the longer games due to me sweating. The mike may not of done this if it was a complete band, but the amount of running I was doing and the amount I was sweating it couldn't be helped.
Conclusion
On the whole this is a very good mike for such a small price. I would recommend it to anyone who wants perfect comms and an 'Elite look' to themselves.
Well done Firefox, such a fantastic product.
