War Head 9mm conversion kit for M4
I recently got one of these kits from War4 to complete a project CQB weapon I have been working on for sometime. Unfortunately War4 is one of the only suppliers in HK that stock this kit – disappointing because their business practices are questionable to say the least.
The kit is made entirely of plastic, which includes the magazine that comes with it. The adapter is shaped like the top of a standard m4 magazine, which slots strait into the magwell just like a magazine would. The magwell converts the 5.56 caliber into the more CQB friendly 9mm cartridge. The mag is a madcap holding around 60 bbs and is a little shorter than a standard Uzi mag. On that note warhead have included a sencil that you can use to drill out Marui Uzi mags and use them in the gun – problem is that the TM mags are slightly higher in the top which means that even with the stencil the mags don’t fit perfectly. The solution to this problem is to either; drill the holes in the mag slightly lower than the stencil indicates, or do as I did and take a die grinder to the inside of the adapter and remove the excess plastic preventing the mag from fitting perfectly.
The result of the whole process is a cheap but reliable way of converting your standard m4 magwell into a 9mm version. Perfect for finishing that SMG project you have been dreaming of!
