I Bought this gun back in The Spring of this year (2006). The first thing I noticed was well obviously the Size of it, but also the Extremely nice finish. This gun looks like stainless steel that has been polished, just like Clint Eastwoods Automag in The Dirty Harry film "Sudden Impact", which I suppose the Marushin is suppose to be. The Grips are nefinitely not the greatest fake grips I have seen, But I think I will have to settle for them, because I dont think RS grips will fit, and I dont imagine I will ever obtain RS Grips anyway, because The RS gun and any parts for it are VERY VERY RARE. I believe if you find a RS .44 Automag it bring prices up to $5000 U.S. dollars. maybe more, maybe less, but Its around that price range. The grips dont really detract from the guns appearance anyways, because of it's high quality finish. The trademarks are excellent, having very few Marushin Trademarks. The left side of the gun reads - an AMT logo and then - " AUTO MAG - .44 AMP MODEL 280 - COVINA,CALIF. - PATENTED "
The right side of the frame reads -" MFGMARUSHIN " in small letters, and on that side on the trigger guard it says " ASGK " and thats all the gun says. This gun functios exactly like the RS, which is Single Action, meaning unless the hammer is back, pulling the trigger would do nothing at all. When the safety is on, you can not pull the hammer back, you can not pull the trigger if the hammer is already back, and you can not pull back the slide, Which is actually a bolt in this guns case. When they invented the .44 Automag, They used a lot of rifle designs actually. Such as the vented rib on top of the barrel, and the bolt action type thing. I really don't know how to explain it, but thats what they did. This Gun (airsoft version) has another kind of neat feature. Normally when the safety switch is straight, the safty is off, and when its up it is on, but the airsoft version has something else, - when the switch is facing down, you can keep shooting the gun (with no rounds) without the slide/bolt Locking back. I have heard people that use these guns to skirmish have used it as like a trick when they are out of ammo, and they keep firing to fool their opponent. I'll do a 5 rating thing now -
appearance - 1027/5
Power - 4.5/5
accuracy - 4.5/5
Price - 5/5
Upgrade potential - Not Sure.
Overall - 5/5
Better PICS
