*this is my first full review so I hope you understand if it sucks*
p99 history:
designed in 1994 and showcased in 1996 the p99 was designed to be a modern police/self-defence handgun with all the modern fetures like: contoured grip, internal "striker" and red tip, chamber loading indicator, decocking button, tool-less takedown, interchangable grip inserts, and abidextrious mag. release, all in an affordable pistol.
in 2004 some changes were made... the trigger guard was changed, removing the hump beneath the trigger. this redesigning also gave the chance to give the p99 slide better grip. lastly the accessory rail was changed to a weaver type rail.
this pistol comes in three calibers: 9x19mm, 9x21mm imi(similar to the 9mm luger), and .40s&w. the P99 unloaded weighs 700g.
my review:
I recieved this product as a gift, and when I fisrt got it it was pretty cool. holding it in my hands was so comfortable and so natural to hold. it's not the strongest thing around at an estimated 230fps or ~70mps. for me I had a problem getting the thing to shoot straight, I would often shoot bb's with way to much hop-up sending bbs 30 ft or ~9 meters then flying almost straight up. but as I shot bbs thru it more (by mag-fulls not instant improvement) it evened out and it now shoots almost flatline except for bb drift at ~9 meters. but this is 2-2and 1/2 years later and the power is down to my guess of 200~220fps or 61~67 mps. thru the years this gun has withstood all the tests of run and gun with springs and is a good back up weapon. one problem I have with it now is the mag bottom got released and I lost the spring and mag button on it. but other wise a good backup weapon for springs or cheap backup for your backup weapon.

I originally bought the P99 a few months ago as a gift for one of my friends who wanted to start airsoft. Unfortunately, he moved before i oculd give it to him so i took it.
The gun orignally came with 1 magazine, a bad of bbs, and a sticky target. Upon opening it i realized it is built like an HFC gun-open ejection port, locking slide, most weight in magazine, etc. Something i found cool is that it has a functional firing pin in the back, but watch out as this plate in back can fall out if you nudge it while cocking. The weight was pretty good, about 1 pound. Much better than most UHC and KWC guns. The slide is a cheaper plastic but the rest appears to be pretty tough. FYI there is no metal i can see. Onto shooting and performance.
The included 13 round magazine is like a UHC mag-you have to hand load it. Quite annoying, but you probably won't be skirmishing with it anyways. The gun has a very evident hopup unit, and i reccomend .2 bb's only, as .12's go straight up. When you do use .2's, however, it will go a good 60-80 feet and still be pretty accurate. I could hit a torso sized target 9/10 times from 60 feet, so for backyard games it would be pretty suiting.
Overall, would i reccomend the gun? If you like backyard games, then yes. For $20 you get a pretty good deal. However, the walther P22 in stores may be a better deal because it comes with 2 20 round mags, so if available get that. Otherwise, this is a fun to shoot gun so if you play in your backyard it's great.
COOL EDIT TRICK: for those of you looking for extra mags for this gun check it out: HFC P99 mags fit this gun! You also get an extra 2 rounds! It fits a little different but they work, so how cool is that?
