Positive aspects of the product (pros): good appearance, weight, hopup, locking slide, open breach, accurate, looks freakin awesome, ok power
Cons: range limits to about 80 feet, no firing pin, all weight in mag, not great capacity, slide locks when it doesnt need to

I bought the HFC P99 "raptor" last year (when i took the pictures) when i got my friend a UHC 1911 for his birthday. The P99 raptor is really just a standard HFC P99, but with a compensator added and a 2 in longer barrel. This gives the gun about the same length as a desert eagle, except it will fit into more holsters (more below). The gun weighs in at about 1.5 lbs, but 2/3 of that is in the magazine. As standard with most hfc guns it has an open breach, weights in the mag, locking slide, etc... It has one of the most comfortable grips ever, combined with these little bumps to help your grip. I feel obligated to say, however, that this gun is hard to find. The only site i know of that stocks it is shortyusa.com. Onto details of the gun...

The included magazine holds 15 rounds, and extras are about $8 give or take depending where you buy. There are also two front sights included but LISTEN: do not holster this gun without supergluing in the sights. The gun is about the same length as a desert eagle, and is exactly as long as my N64 (see above, and yes, those are copies of Perfect Dark and Goldeneye). When in the holster, the sights will get pulled off as soon as you pull out your gun. Because of this, i reccomend taking the fiber optic green sight (shown in pics), gluing the stick in so it doesnt fall out, and gluing the sight onto the gun. Keep the standard white dot one handy just in case (i lost mine when i didnt glue it on and i holstered the gun).
The compensator says "lightning star" on one side which i think looks kind of stupid but oh well. I have heard rumors it can be taken off but i have not found a way. Even if you did the fragile barrel would probably break if you hit something. The only metal parts on this gun are the trigger and the slide release, as well as the safety. The compensator hides a barrekl 2" longer than the standard p99 so you can tell it will be more accurate. Onto the performance...

At 240 fps (.12) the 99 raptor is on par with most spring pistols. When cocking it you must make sure you pull it back AS FAR AS POSSIBLE or you will not fully compress the spring and you'll get a bad shot. Unlike many HFC guns this one has hopup, which you can visibly see when cocking it. Accuracy on te gun is fair, but is not quite what i expected. IT will hit a man sized target 50-60 feet away 7/10 times but don't expect more than that. It will go about 80 feet total. While accuracy is much better than all other HFC guns i've used it still wasn't too impressive.

Would i reccomend the gun? If you like P99s, then sure. I've used it in backyard battles with my little neighbors and it did pretty well (obviously i'm not using a 320FPS gas gun on them). I was consistently hitting people within 60 feet so it met my standards for a spring pistol. While the gun wasn't bad at all, it wasnt amazing either. I reccomend the KWC P99 instead.

REALLY COOL EDIT: i just found out today that the magazines from the walmart softair P99 WILL fit in this gun. It is a little different and may be a bit touchy but they work! I had both guns but no extra mags for either but now i do.
