G&P Special Forces Goggles
Manufacturer: G&P (Hong Kong)
Type: Tactical Gear
The G&P Special Forces Goggles are copies of Oakley A-frame Goggle. I refer to these as Feauxkleys But for a copy, at $30.00 they're not a bad deal. Although I don't know how the lense on this goggle wil actually protect you.
I'm not too sure why G&P copied the A-frame goggles over the actual E-frame goggles Oakley made in their SI (Standard Issue) Military/Tactical. Possibly the A-frame was copied not neccesarily for sale into the airsoft market and G&P got a hold of the design that way. The G&P goggles don't compare to the real Oakley SI goggles. The quality of materials/build is very appearent and far superior on the real Oakleys.
The G&P goggle is good for a spare set though. But even at more then half the price of the real Oakly A-frames, it's probably best to save up to get the real Oakleys.

Good Looks For Cheap

The strap is useless...

firstly i must say, i only brought these goggles to go ontop of my helmet, as im not a huge goggle fan (and these goggles are pretty big) and prefer shooting glasses.
right-o, i recently went to HK so naturally WGCShop was somewhere i HAD to go. in with all the other gear, the G&P Special Forces goggles were on my list as i wanted some A-Frame lookalikes but as i didnt intend to wear them full time, i couldnt contemplate spending as much on the Oakleys.
Packaging -
a bog standard brown box with a viewing window, simple really.
Feel
yea nice and comfortable whilst they stayed on, i havent skirmished them so i dont know how the padding stands up to the rough n tumble
Performance
the lenses provide good visability at a cost, not being low profile goggles they arnt very nice to shoulder with. other then that ventalation is very good, most goggles ive used fog like crazy when i wear a balaclava, these however didnt do so bad. yea that started to mist a bit after a while, but some anti-fog coating will sort that completely
durability
UH OH!!! this is where is all messed up. i wore them for the whole of 10 minutes on my Protec helmet when all of a sudden they're gone. where? the floor, thats where! as i only spent $30 on them and brought them from HK, i wasnt too bothered about returning them. what had happened is where they attach the straps to the frame. VERY LOW quality. its just the strap glued between 2 tabs of plastic with little nipple things to hold the strap better i guess... well yea, the top of the strap retainer came off, taking the goggles to the floor with it. the fix... i took the tabs off completely and am going to sew the straps in a loop around the frame. when you take the tabs off, theres 2 elongated holes, so a pair of scissors will make that one long elongated hole.
Material
good materials funny enough, once fixed how i intend to, they should be a decent pair of goggles. the lense is nice n clear, the rubber for the frame is nice and even the padding, although thin, is comfortable
Build quality
apart from the strap attachment being an utter load of, well, you know what, the rest of the goggles seem to be put together pretty well.
Conclusion
so yea, a nice pair of goggles at a decent price, minus the strap attachment, which does let the rating down i must say. what use is a pair of goggles if they wont stay on your face? luckily mine fell apart posing infront of the mirror... id hate to think what woulda happened if they fell apart in the field.
