Description:
|
This is an inexpensive 340rd hicap magazine that comes with the warhawk and is usually sold in 2-packs. It is not very high quality.

I did some studying of my AK and i found out that THESE MAGS were the reason the feed tube into the hopup snapped. The spring that holds the bb stopper tab in place is too stiff and it puts so much pressure on the feeding tube that it snaps off. IF you buy these they WILL break your hopup eventually. This is also copy+pasted below if you miss this.
We all know about the UTG Warhawk and MP5 and how their magazines were cheap to buy but had trouble feeding. The warhawk mags are no exception. I bought a 2-pack of these for $13 (hence the $6.50 paid price) from shortyUSA last year after i got my CSI AK, which feeds perfectly with all other AK mags. These can occasionally be found sold singlely like at airsplat for around $8. They are made entirely of plastic and fit snugly into the gun with no wobble. Onto performance...
I bought these because they were so cheap, but there was good reason for that. I'm glad these come in 2 packs because 340 rounds isn't much for an AK mag, but is still more than most other kinds of hicaps. Since these were my first hicaps i was hoping they'd be easy to use, but nope. They don't click when they're done winding, you just have to feel for it get really easy after getting hard for a few winds. Once fully wound, they unloaded the whole clip without re-winding, you just have to do 1 wind here or there to keep it going. As for actual performance, these things were awful, just plain awful. On auto i manage to get off 1-2 rounds before it just dry fires forever. On semi it feeds perfectly, but if you always use semi you probably don't need hicaps anyways. Even on semi 1 out of every 9 or 10 will not feed. I was sorely disappointed at the lack of auto.
The mags are built well and do not break, and being able to get 340 rounds on a full wind is awesome, but they really disappointed me with auto. I can't honestly recomend these mags to people unless you REALLY REALLY like semi. I use mostly semi, but there are times when you just need auto. Buy other mags if possible.
