Positive aspects of the product (pros):
|
Excellent range, BB goes 180 feet before dropping. You can reliably hit a person at 150-160 feet. FPS is very high, and will sometimes pierce skin at 15 yards. Accuracy is also sometimes vary good, and will have groupings of 1 foot at 40 yards. Gun is

Cons:
|
Performance will fluctuate greatly. Gun isn't TM compatible without modification, you must sand the mags down. Performance varies on gun-to-gun basis. Performance suffers a major drop after 10,000-25,000 shots, and then fluctuates per game (possible on

Sorry for the low quality pictures... It's the only camera we have.
Ordering:
I ordered the gun off of hobbytron.com. Everything went smoothly, although I waited on a step the day when FedEx said my gun would come.
First Impressions:
Wow! My gun was finally here. There were already two BB's in the mag, but that wasn't a problem. I didn't have a battery at the time, so I had to charge the stock battery, and by that time it was dark. The day after, my thought were "Wow, this gun is heavy". It was only then because all I used was LPEG's; in hindsight, it isn't heavy. I was also wowed by the performance (LPEG's once again).
*NOTE: The gun's wires were bad and would often fail, the problem only being relevent throughout the first 1,000 shots. However, this was somehow fixed with a tug to them, and was brushed aside and considered part of the break in period.
Cosmetics:
Mostly plastic, and it is kind of ugly, too (this is, however, based on the fact that I dislike the G3SAS design and not the actual exterior of the gun itself). Came with some discoloration in the metal's finish and a small streak on the plastic.
Performance:
The gun shoots pretty good. The rage tops out at 180 feet, 150-160 accuratley. At 40 yards the gun will get 1 foot groupings. It will hit a quarter at 20 yards. The 4-way adjustable H&K sights can easily be adjusted for windage, which is necesarry because some guns will curve a tiny bit. The only issue is that the performance fluctuated greatly and will sometimes pierce the skin at 15 yards, while other times it will not be able to hit a quarter at 30 feet, and will take a moment to get there, too. There may be, however, a large decrease in performance after 10,000-25,000 shots. My model had this problem. Mine's at 60,000 shots, so it's long life can overshadow this small issue. The ROF isn't as good as advertised - it's kind of slow. On a full charge, maybe 600 RPM.
*EDIT: Mine is now at 70,000-80,000 shots, and it is now performing HORRIBLY. I don't use it as my primary anymore.
**EDIT: With a new battery, the gun screams, and gets a good 850 rpm.
It should be noted that the hopup is very responsive, and because of it's size it is excellent for CQB.
Durability, feeding and battery:
It is a very durable weapon. I have dropped it many times, and it still chirps out BB's that go 180 feet. It hasen't chipped or anything - the plastic is very good.
The mags are OK, but many people have complained about them. Mine aren't really an issue, but on a full wind, they will feed only 40 or so BB's. Not good, and it's very annoying. However, my point of it not being an issue remains valid, because what are you going to be? Support gunner? I would say that if you take five shots and take cover again, maybe even 10 or 20 shots, just wind it then. It's not like you have to dedicate a special time to winding your mag.
The battery is not too good - it's life is probably only 40 or so charges. It is a mini type battery, and it isn't too hard to put into the gun. It goes into the foregrip, but the wires can be moved to the stock. However, it should be noted that if you do keep the wires in the foregrip, it's easy to push the foregrip off, dumping your battery.
My only real problem:
The motor heat sinc plate on the pistol grip will sometimes come loose, causing the motor to fall out of position and jam up. Just tighten them - it happens after maybe 10,000 shots, so just be forewarned so you aren't panicking if your gun isn't firing (unless you're in battle... Just tighten them before the game, though). Also, the wire malfunction that happened before wasn't really a problem, because it never really did anything that made me almost loose in a firefight. Ok, sure, it was an annoyance and worry - but when it was fixed (after about five battery drains), it didn't come back, and it was fine from then on.
Overall: 8/10, a very good CQB weapon, and also suitable for longer ranges and woodland. Better than the UTG MP5, and even better in all other factors except for accuracy than the UTG Warhawk. While not a $300 TM or CA, it is a durable, dependable, accurate, and hard-hitting all around weapon - I would suggest it anyday. Well worth the $100 I spent for it, even 60,000 shots later.
