Description: Crosman airsoft BBs. A low cost yet effective bb option. In comparison, they seem to be about the same quality as Excel .20's, but you get more of these for less money.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Inexpensive, Decent quality
Cons: Somewhat difficult to find, Not available outside of the US as far as I know

Walking through a local K-Mart one day I passed through the sporting goods section to see if they had any airsoft products. Unsurprisingly, all they had were a few cheapo re-branded airsoft products with the price jacked up by $20. One thing that had appealed to me was a large octagonal tub of .20g bbs. At the time I had only bought Cybergun .20's, but these looked like they might be nice, so I tried them out.

I have used these BBs in just about every gun that I own. From a TM M16 to a KWC Sigma to a WE 1911, I have never once had a jam. In a comparison to Excel .25g's these are almost the same, if not better. I don't have anything to check the exact dimensions or quality, so I may be a bit off with the comparison. There is a small seam, but nothing more than an Excel bb, and the surface is very smooth. They are a little less polished than some of the better BBs, but are still very shiny and glossy. Only once out of about 50,000 BBs have I encountered a small piece of plastic that was left over from molding, but luckily I caught it before it went into anything. If you look at picture 2 you can see a bb that I smashed with a hammer. It held up well an did not fall apart, so I would imagine that it these BBs will not shatter all that often.
[The method I use to compare all BBs is to microwave them in a cup of water for 30 seconds, then check out any seams by eye. This is basically something that I came up with from a guide on Unconventional Airsoft. It seems to work well.]
Update: I was examining some bbs a few days ago, when I noticed a large seam in many of the bbs. I also bought a bag of KSC bbs, and noticed that they improved accuracy by a great amount. I still use these bbs despite this, but I consider these to be "plinker grade"; good enough to shoot in large quantities.

I recommend these BBs to anyone who does not demand a perfect BB. In fact, these are my primary bb type, and I use them for just about any situation that requires a round piece of plastic be flung at high speeds. The only thing that I'm unsure about is whether these BBs are manufactured by Crosman or not, as almost all Crosman products are low cost springer's or mini electrics with a different body.

I apologize for the poor quality pictures, I promise I'll get my own camera of a decent quality. Also apologies if my English isn't perfect. It is my first language after all! (Come on that's gotta be funny.)

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Smoothe, slick, cheap, can be bought locally, works in "picky" GBBs, pretty accurate and doesn't jam
Cons: BB shape is not perfectly round - slight loss in accuracy

As an airsofter, I am naturally attracted to the airsoft section in department stores and sporting goods stores. My dad and I went to Dick's Sporting Goods to see if they had anything good. Turns out they did, not airsoft guns, but BBs. Usually when Crossman gets involved in airsoft products, they suck. These BBs are one exception.

I was looking at the guns and my dad noticed the Crossman .2g BBs for only $14.95. We ALWAYS need .2g BBs for our GBBs, and they were cheap, 5,000 for $14.95 wasn't bad at all. Besides, if we needed any more, we could just buy them locally. We decided to get a case and try it out. My dad loaded up his WE 1911 and they didn't jam once out of the 300 shots he fired that night. The grouping wasn't bad either. These BBs actually shoot pretty accurately, but KSC and Tokyo Marui BBs have a slightly tighter grouping and the random shots off the main group are much less, but the difference is not really a concern, even at long range. I have a KSC USP .45, that gun is VERY pick on what BBs it takes. Any crappy BBs will cause double feeds and mis-feed jams. The Crossman .2g BBs didn't jam once! Pretty amazing. Now, all the time I shoot these out of my guns. I shoot them out of my KJ M9, my G&P M16A3 and my CA M15A4 spring rifle. I ran out of TM and KSC BBs so I just use these instead.

These BBs are great! Whats even greater is you can get these locally and dont need to pay shipping and wait for them to arrive. So a cheap, quality source of .2g BBs is just a drive away! The only downside is they seem to be slightly less accurate than high quality japanese BBs, otherwise get these BBs!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): easy to find, cheap, abundant, no seams, high quality
Cons: deformations here and there

In the beginning, I absolutely loved Crosman .2's. If I ever ran out of Matrix or KSC's, I'd just hop to my local store and pick up a few thousand. They never had any seams or anything on them.

After my 5th or 6th box on them, one bb happened to fall on the floor. I went down and picked it up - and it had a HUGE deformation. It was most definitely NOT 6mm, it was more like an oval shape, up to 8-9mm in length. I was so put off by this, I sold all of my current boxes, and stopped using Crosman's.

Since then I still use them on occasion, only if I absolutely need them. Just in case, I swap back in my old stock barrel, and out with my tightbore. I don't really trust these anymore.

It's great if you need a backup set, but I wouldn't recommend using these primarily.
