Airsoft BBs may look insignificant, and they come in bulk quantity, but they are just as essential as the guns and gears for airsoft games. <a href = "http://www.airsplat.com">Airsplat.com</a> has generously sent me a few bags of their upcoming bio-degradable 0.20g BBs to test. They are rated 0.20g with 5.97mm+/- 0.01mm in diameter. In short, they are just as good as other high quality BBs I've used.
I don't have the equipment to test the chemical composition of the BBs, nor did I bury any to wait to see if they really degrade, but I was assured by <a href="http://www.airsplat.com">Airsplat</a> that the BBs are made with the highest percentage of bio material, and it should degrade in 10 weeks.
I am all for protecting the environment, but when it comes down to the games, the more important question I ask is how do these BBs function or perform. I don't have the precision measurement tools to verify the specs on the BBs, but I sure have quite a few airsoft guns to shoot them with.
A quick visual inspection shows the BBs to be very well made. No visible seam or deformation. The surface is quite smooth, and the color is solid white. I then took my time, and shot the BBs using each of my WA, TM, KSC, and KJW GBBs, my Tanaka revolvers, and my CA and ICS AEGs. I am happy to say that as far as BB goes, these definitely meet my expectation, and I'd recommend these to anyone. The accuracy and power I get with these BBs are pretty much the same as I get with my other brands high quality BBs, and I had not a single jam or misfeed throughout my testing.
Bottom line, these are very good BBs.
