Description: One of three Classic Army varients of the FN M249.
The machine gun has mostly metal parts.
The mk1 version unlike the mk2 has a skeletal stock meaning it will not house a large battery like the shorter para varient. Used by many in OP TELIC.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Solid, well balanced, metal in all the right places, good ROF, good range.
Cons: Maybe too long for the vertically challeneged among us to shoulder, will be too heavy for the weaklings among us

Bought this gun from Airsoft Warehouse after going there originally to buy a Classic Army M15A4 Rifle. After finding that the M15 was out of stock I looked around and saw the M249 Para sitting on a shelf. I then asked if I could see the MK1 of the CA249 series as it's my favourite of the three.
As soon as the guy handed it to me the weight became immediately apparent. The gun had no creaks at all, I then became very interested :D
After the fire test I was blown away and bought it about 10 minutes later.
This is an amazing gun but I wouldnt recommend it to beginners because of initial cost an maintainance, 50k bbs a day do it for you?

Will be adding a skirmish report after this sundays games :D

EDIT:
Well fired a good 3500 rnds through it today and it fed flawlessly, the range is outstanding and rof...dont get me started Smile One thing I have to say is you do realise the weight pretty fast but for the tall people among us it shouldn't be a problem. Don't just sit there reading this...order one!

EDIT 2:
Well I skirmished it for the second time and had some serious problems Sad. First of all the gun is shooting much much slower than other CA249's i've heard about. The FPS has dropped to around 270 FPS also Sad. And then to top it all off the skeletal stock fell off for no reason. I'm going back to Airsoft Warehouse to see if they can fix the problems. I believe this is an isolated inccident so don't worry too much Wink
