Description:
|
The Bulle CIRAS LV vest is a fully adjustable, fully modular load carrying platform compatible with the latest US MOLLE system pouches and accessories. Replica body armour soft panels are integrated within the vest, as are specialised pockets for the insertion of hard ceramic armour plates, which enable this vest to be upgraded to NIJ Class IV body protection (vest does not come with any ballistic protection). Made of 1000 Denier texturised Cordura, the one inch mil-spec webbing cross straps on which the MOLLE pouches are mounted are triple stitched for strength and durability. Adjustable for height and width to fit a size range from a 5'5 height to 6'4 height and 36" chest to 54" chest. The CIRAS LV Vest can be fully detached and re-attached into back, front, and external cummerbunds left and right for a tight, secure fit.

Some design differences to the real CIRAS
|
|
Note: The vest I purchased came with pouches included for a price of £145. Seemingly you can only purchase them seperately now, with the vest costing £75.
The thing that stands out most about this vest to me is strength. It might only be a replica but it's built like a brick outhouse. It's fairly weighty and sturdily built.
The vest is mostly styled like a typical CIRAS with a few exceptions. There is no release cable or any clips, the entire thing holds together with velcro which might sound weak but it's covered in so much velcro you might end up sticking to any passing cats.
When I first skirmished with the vest I found it was a bit uncomfortable to wear as it restricted my movement too much, however I soon found out just how adjustable the vest is, being made up of four seperate pieces you can remove them from each other and adjust to fit as you like. The vest comes fitted with some foam inserts in the armour area which help give it a fairly rigid structure, they can be replaced if for some reason you are a nutter who wants to run around with 10kg of real body armour plates fitted!
The pouches I recieved with the vest were of similar quality, as far as I can tell they seem to be identical quality what you would get with the real deal, with the same features and materials.
