Positive aspects of the product (pros): Solid, Working scope, Very accurate reproduction
Cons: Handle bar sort of flimsy (maybe), Cocking handle also flimsy, Could use a better manual

Well, this is my first airsoft weapon, and I have to say that I am extremely impressed. Next to me (borrowed from a friend) I have a TM P90, a TM M4, a TM AK47, and a TM Thompson, and the CA36K is certainly the best of them. The whole thing is extremely solid with no creak whatsoever (as opposed to the M4 which feels quite loose). Accuracy is very good, with 1" groupings at 20 yards, aided by an adjustable scope (1.5x magnification). Compared to the real steel, I can find no flaws besides the missing trademarks. The weight is almost exactly right and the finish is perfect. So far, I have had no feed problems or jams of any sort. The only problems I have with the weapon are that the the carrying handle seems a like it could be sort of weak (not entirely sure if this is accurate to the real steel), the cocking handle feels kind of cheap, and a manual showing the complete takedown of the weapon would be a nice addition. To be completely honest, I have yet to skirmish with it (my left wrist is in a cast from a summer accident) but I cannot forsee any issues with it. I really love the thing. Any questions for me, I can answer, and, as soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I will. In the meantime, email me if you would like a pic. Hope this helps!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): looks like god made of plastic
Cons: reliability of a (i dont know what has reliablilty this bad)

When I got this gun in the mail, i was extatic, i took it out and just stared at it for half an hour or more, while the battery was charging...
When the battery was charged i went outside and started putting holes in the outer box it came in, they went in one side, out the other and then put a dent in my fence... by the end the box was falling apart with holes and my face was one big smile.
I took it out to a war a week later and my freinds were pissed as hell when i showed up with it. We started playing but as the battle progressed, i found that i had to pull harder and harder on the trigger to make it fire to the point where i couldnt pull the trigger hard enough. I sat down and when i pulled the trigger i heard a popping sound like sparks inside the gun.
I talked to airsplat where i bought it and after a week they told me to send it back, i did and after a month i got it back and it was mid november, really cold. I didnt have a war until an unsesonally warm day in mid december,i went out and a completly different thing happened. When i moved the selector from safe to fire, there was a loud grinding sound and more popping, i turned it off and used my backup for the war...
I took themechbox out just to make sure what was making the noise and as i guessed it was coming from inside. This was my first AEG so i didnt want to fiddle around with the insides of an AEG mechbox. Curiously, at the same time i pulled the mechbox out, two small springs and an oddly shaped piece of metal fell out of the trigger hole... over all i have put less than 1000 bbs through it and it has broken twice and jammed often.

Im not sure if it is just that i got one from the worst batch on earth, but this goes against any review i read about it before i bought it...

Also, i do not reccommend buying anything from airsplat because when i contacted them after it broke the last time they just didnt reply to any of my emails and im not sure they even took it apart when i sent it back to them the first time

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Excellent Feel, Very Sturdy
Cons: A bit bulky

I would have to say that since this is my first AEG, I made the right choice!!! This weapon is incredible. It feels like a natural extension of me. It just feels right in my hands after holding almost every AEG in the book at the local store this was the one that felt the best and has the best upgradability of all the AEG's I tried out.

When I got it home and charaged up the battery, I loaded a full clip and began shooting into a pillow I had laying around. The scope needed adjustment out of the box, but for an integrated scope, once it was zeroed it was dead on and has stayed that way with minor adjustments approx every 3-4000 rounds. (I have gone through almost 10 clips at 470 rounds per clip and only needed to adjust once for a very windy day)

A few negatives are that in battle, be careful because the mag release is a bit touchy. Once found myself creeping along and pulled up to shoot, pulled the trigger and noticed no BB's coming out only to look down that I had dropped my mag about a yard back. The 600mAh battery the store sold me sucked so bad. The first day I took it out, I got through one clip and it died. Since then I can only seem to get through one clip before needing to recharge. I bought an upgraded battery (9.4V 1200mAh) and have yet to find its limit. I skirmished the other day and put 3 + 1/2 clips on the battery and its still going strong with no indication that its tiring out. The battery stores in the foregrip which takes some getting used to to swap out but after about 10 swaps I have the knack and only need to slide the foregrip up about 2 inches to slide the battery out.

Overall excellent scope thats dead on. I plan on getting rails and a bipod, then upgrading the spring and turning this into my sniper weapon and getting a TM P90 for CqB as a primary and leave this for woodlands.

Couldnt be happier, no feed problems, the only thing I dont like is the selector switch is off, I click it to single shot mode and pull the trigger and nothing, but if I push it just pass the click it works like a dream!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Very solid, good hop-up
Cons: Selector maybe too sensitive

When I first got this gun I was very, very impressed of its solidness. Glass fiber is a very good choice for material. The battery I got with the gun was 8.4V 600mah. And since it was winter when I got this (and it still is) I had to buy an Intellect 1200mah battery. 1200mah battery works really good in wintertime but I can't say the same thing about 600mah battery.

So when I was charged the battery I went out and shot a few mags into a box. Very impressive muzzle velocity and accuracy. And range is very good! One thing I surprised was a really good hop-up system. When I adjust it I don't need to do it again in a long time. Very good compared with M15A4 guns for example.

The scope is pretty good. It was very accurate out of the box. I didn't have to adjust it at all. In night time it's ofcourse useless.

Overall this is a very good gun! My previous gun was a TM MP5A4 and compared with it, CA36K really rocks! I recommend.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good hop-up compared to other CA's, overall build quality.
Cons: Flex and false sense of durability, unpractical scope, weak charging handle, over greased gearbox.

I bought this beauty brand new from Nemesis Airsoft Finland, back in summer 2006. After a painful wait the gun was in my hands, I quickly loaded my friends 8,4V 600mAh battery only to notice it go out of power after 100 shots. Nowadays I use a 9,6V 1100mAh battery, and constantly get 15rps, 900rpm.

The gun is made of very high quality glass-fiber-nylon polymer, which at the beginning feels very nice in hands and retains it's feel almost the same even after a long use. The material allows the gun to bend but not creak, thus allowing some flex when brute force is applied.

Edit 28.4.2007: It seems like the Glass fiber construction isn't everywhere as suitable as it seems. So far I've broken my stock, the stabilizer plate on the handguard and the charging handle, plus heard of several other cases with problems with the carrying handle cracking. The material tightness doesn't seem as solid as regular ABS, so that might be the problem on these hollow or thin parts.
Edit 5.7.2007: The gun is now older than a year. Almost 40 000 shots and still running, although with a new owner. Performance is still awesome.

Many reviews complain about a bad selector switch with a lame click when switching the fire mode. I'm glad to tell that at least my gun has an amazing switch, I've had two M15's and this one outperforms even them. If not as postively locking, still very tight and a big click. Remember to use locktite or glue on the selector, so it won't fall of, since it is a big problem with all of the G36-series on all makers.

Accuracy is acceptable, by changing from the standard CA barrel into a Prometheus it went to awesome, very recommened. The scope is pretty good for an integrated scope, although still very inpractical and slow to use. Myself, I have replaced it with a C-type carry handle and a rds. The hop-up setting stays firmly in place, although the standard bucking is utter poo. Replace it with a Guarder clear type.

After the long term problems, like mentioned awful fiber construction with a foul sense of durability and awfully over greased gearbox, I've decided to lower the rating and not recommend the product. You get better bang for your buck even with a Chinese G36C. The STAR one is much more durable externally, although the internals might require some work. I've ended on the TM version, which hasn't failed me neither externally or internally.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good build, high rof, good mags
Cons: selector switch, battery housing

First off, this is a very solid, high quality build gun. The accuracy is not amazing but it's not horrible either. It has an incredibly high rof which is running on a 9.6V. However, one highly annoying problem I experienced was that sometimes on single fire the gun would not fire and just click. I hear that this is a chronic problem with these guns but that getting a cheap $10 aftermarket selector switch fixes the problem. Also, the battery can be very hard to fit in the foregrip.
