While browsing my local Sportsman's Warehouse, i come across this gas gun which i dont usually see around here living in South Carolina. I decided to buy it. So I bought it as well as 5 co2 cartridges, and make my way home. When arriving I open the package and Lift the gun, Id say about 1-1 1/2 lbs, rough estimate. I loaded the Complimentery BBs and inserted a co2 cartridge. To load it you need to open a metal cap at the bottom of the mag. In that cap you will find a screw thing. Screw that counter clockwise to loosen it, put in the cartridge, turn clockwise until you hear a hiss. After puting in the co2 cartridge, i walk outside into the 76 degree fahrenheit december day. I shot of the 17 shots and found the gun quite accurate, and a pruis style gas consumer( i can shoot off 125 shots with a single cartridge). I then wanted to see the internals. I went inside, pulled back the slide, removed a pin under it, and took i off. It was as simple as simple can be. It consisted of a firing pin, hammer, and a barrel. The firing pin hits a tab on the top of a magazine forcing a bb into the barrel while simultaniously letting out a small bit of co2, thus firing the bb. The slide is plastic so i expect it to break soon. The grips are very comfortable. The sights are plastic as well. The sights include a plastic blade sight and a fiber optic green sight. IMO feel the fiber optic sights are better than the blade sights, but i stick to the blade sight. Theres is a saftey on the right side of the gun(obviously not an ambidextrious gun) that you push forward for safe and backwards for fire.
Conclusion
I feel Tippmann can doa better job in making this but i am not aguring right now.
pros:
Interchangable front sights
350fps right out of the box
good range
good accuracy
cons:
bad magazine catch
Magazine likly to fall out of magwell
Plstic outer barrel
plastic mags
I wouldnt buy this again but overall this is a great gun for your buy. Again nice range and accuracy.
*this was my first review so go easy
UPDATE(3-27-07): the silde is cracked around the spring guide guide. The reason is broke is because YOU CAN RACK THE SLIDE(just to point it out.)

A buddy of mine got one of these last year before we started going to fields. It was $40 from sportsmart. The gun is clearly based off of a G17, but is also clearly different in a few aspects. You can see pretty well from a picture of it what these differences are. The gun is almost entirely plastic, which is not a problem at all.
Wait a sec, what? The above review said the slide would break?
Well, the above review lied. The gun is a NON-BLOWBACK, which means THE SLIDE DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE. If it did, the gun wouldnt get 150 shots off a C02 cartridge. I repeat:
YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE SLIDE BEING DAMAGED AT ALL.
Okay, now that that's out of the way, how about that performance? The gun fires around 1J, which is pretty good since most C02 guns shoot over 360. The hop works well enough, giving around 90 feet maximum accuracy. This gun isn't a high-grade sidearm, but it will more than suffice for a backyard battle.
Overall, the gun isn't that great, but I honestly can't think of anything bad about it.
