Classic Army's first "original" AEG build. While it is internally based on the M15, many improvments have been made to make the SCAR-L an airsoft reality. What was most impressive to me is how CA brought this to market w/o the fanfare and hype of other manufacturers, who still have yet to deliver on their promises.
There is already a very detailed review of the CA SCAR-L by AEX located here. I will try and focus on what wasn't covered in their review.
Features:
-Unique Serial Number
-Metal Charging Handle
-7mm Metal Bearing Gear Box
-Hi-Cap Magazine (300 Rd)
-Metal Flip up Front & Rear Sight
-CNC made Metal Upper Receiver
-Up to 9.6V Mini Type Battery can be used
-Fiber Lower Receiver & Retractable Folding Stock
-Magazine Released Catch can function in both sides of receiver
-Bearing Spring Guide, Bearing Piston Head, Sealed Nozzle & Cylinder
-Motor without screw type
The machined upper is very nice and doing the battery butt stock modification from the AEX Review makes battery change very easy. This is a very skirmishable gun out of the box with a few easy modifications.
I have already placed some add-ons on order including:
Convertible Outer Barrel
Extended Battery Stock
Will post more when these get installed.
Update 05/13/2007
Tested some magazines:
- Tokyo Marui Standards - Works Perfectly
- Tokyo Marui Hi-Cap - Works Perfectly
- Classic Army Hi-Cap - Works Perfectly
- MAG Mid-Cap w/HK Markings - Works Perfectly
- G&P Illuminated Tracer Mid-Cap - Feeds OK (Still has weak spring problem). Illuminator doesn't work on SCAR.
- DTP Electric C-Mag - Works Perfectly
- STAR Low-Cap - Works Perfectly

I bought this a few months ago, but have had very little time to try it. It is an excellent gun, which is very compact, but also good for woodland as well. I love it, and would recommend it to anybody.
Adding to what orca said, the sand coloured mag midcaps work great in them.

Overall, this gun is a great, soild shooter, sights work great, and are easy to sight in. Once sighted in, they stay there. Also there is no wobble ANYWHERE on this gun. My only gripe with this gun was that the outer barrel wasn't attached right when i got it, so it fell out ><. But it turns out the screw holding the barrel in, wasn't tightened, so it was a very quick fix of taking the gun down, tightning the screw and putting the gun back together.
If your considering buying a SCAR clone, get the CA one(vs the JLS one). The quality of the gun and the finish alone make it worth spending the extra money.
