First Impression 5/5

As soon as I tore open the box it came in (no easy task by itself) I was greeted with the following. (pic) A semi-plain box, not nearly as colorful as my SAS, but if I was in the game for the boxes I would have quit airsoft long ago. Although, a nice edition was a carrying handle attached to the box. (PIC) Upon opening the box I found before me a beautiful weapon. Also included were two highcap magazines, 1000 bbs, unjamming rod, battery and charger. (PIC). I picked up the gun, fearing immense weight, to find a moderately heavy gun, with battery and a magazine I am sure that it will be much heavier.

Fire Selector 3/5

The fire selector is very nice on this weapon, except for that if it just moves a little bit past semi-auto, it goes to fully. And a problem that I have with all armalite selectors is going from fully auto to semi or safe, you have to reposition your hand just for that one movement.

Stock 4/5
The stock feels great, just a little plasticy, but not too bad. Having never handled an m16 or full stock m4 before I was afraid of the stock being too long for me, but it fits like a slightly oversized glove. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x101/crablegs_photo/00072.png

Magazine and Magwell 4/5

The magazines are full metal and solid, they each hold 450 rounds, and do not take very long to fully wind. Upon inserting them into the magwell there is a good amount of wobble, but nothing a little electrical tape can’t fix.

Battery 3/5
I bought the full stock version of this gun, for hopefully converting into an m16 on down the line, and two: battery capacity. When I first tried to get the battery into position, I could not get it! After a little persuading I found a technique. Put the battery in all the way, put the fuse in the space under the battery, and then jam the butt plate into place. This puts a lot of stress on the connectors, next time I have access to a soldering gun, this thing is going to Deans connectors definitely.

Hop-up 4/5

To access the hopup, you simply pull back on the charging handle and turn the knob down for more hop and vice versa. After about ten minutes of fiddling with the hopup, I looked down after I felt a little give, only to see that the adjusting wheel had snapped!!! It’s not too big of a deal, but now the hopup doesn’t turn fully off. As soon as that happened, I had the worst case of buyer’s remorse I had ever felt, for about ten minutes.

Handguards 4/5

I have read in several reviews that the ICS handguards are very plasticy, after feeling them I see where these statements are coming from, but all in all not too big of a deal.

Trades

Very nice looking, not a selling point at all for me though, but here is a picture of them anyway.

Iron sights 5/5

As with all m4/m16 iron sights, they pretty much line themselves up, not too much to elaborate on here. There is just two little knobs on the rear sight. On the right side of the sight, turning the knob clockwise adjusts the rear sight right, and vice versa. Under the rear sight is another knob turning this knob forward moves the rear sight up and vice versa. The gun also comes with a little tool to raise the front sight up and down, turn clockwise to raise the point that the bb hits, and vice versa.

Range and Accuracy 4/5

I was amazed at this guns accuracy, I feel comfortable shooting at man sized targets at 150 feet.

General firing: 5/5

This gun is very nice to shoot, a little whiny, but GREAT trigger response and ROF.
Mostly thanks to the ICS t3k motor.

Retailer: Blazingtoys.com 5/5

I originally planned to buy from the renowned ICS dealer airsoftaz.com (formerly airsoft alley) But the day before buying, there sight went down. I went on a hunt and came across blazingtoys.com, unlike airsoftaz, I got free shipping(not technically free, it was 3 dollars, but what else would you do with three dollars, fill up the tank?)

Conclusion 4.5/5

I LOVE THIS GUN! (Named her Eevy by the way) I would whole heartily recommend this gun to anyone, although I can’t say much to reliability yet.

Pros:
Good moderate length
Awesome accuracy
Great rof and trigger response
Awesome aftermarket support

Cons:
Hopup wheel broke
Nothing else at this point.

And just a few pictures for the road.
