Positive aspects of the product (pros):	good protection, warm
Cons:	can get hot, dexterity limited

I bought these at my local army surplus shop, as i needed a pair of gloves to protect my hands from pellets, and also from assorted other stuff, like knife wounds (normaly self inflicted), and rope burns. as protection they are brilliant, while not as durable as kevelar must be, the leather used is perfectly good for most purposes, unless you intend to start grabbing samuri swords by the blade. Also the leather is relitively fireproof and I have quite happily picked up embers with these to put them back on the fire (however my forearms where a bit hot. The disadvantage with these is that while they give great protection, they can get verry hot in the summer, and so are only of limited use. also trying to do realy fiddly things with them on can be difficult, although most things simply require a little trial and error to get right.

The author doesnot suggest using these gloves to protect against fire, as while the leather is fireproof, the elasticated cuff isn't.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):	lots of protection, comfy, very wel padded
Cons:	very hot, too big

i got it free ex army issue to my uncle and they are excellent. they have a padded nucle to protect you r nucles from scrapes in an urban warefare situation.
