Ever want a PPK, but don't want to spend over $100? Though its not a airsoft gun, the Walther PPK BB pistol is a fine alternative for those looking to just have some informal plinking sessions in the backyard (Note this is not an airsoft gun, by plinking I mean shooting cans, etc). Sporting a full metal frame and slide, its one solid gun. ANd the best part- it can be found for around $55.

I will spare you with the history of the PPK, those who are interested in it probably already know all about it anyways.
The Gun-
Upon receiving the gun, one must notice the heft and nice build of the pistol. My version that I opted for is the nickle plated version (I think is worth the extra $$). The only plastic part on the gun is the grips, and hte Co2 cap. The only thing that holds the gun back are the hideous warnings and Unamarex trade marks. However, being that this is a licensed gun, it does sport full trades. The gun does strip down in the same real-steel fashion. Except for the Co2 screw in cap, the gun could easily pass for the real deal.
Firing/accuracy-
I got this gun in the mid summer, so it the weather was optimal for using Co2. It should be noted, that when using Co2, use the slimmer designed canisters, I found that the Crosman Co2 capsule are far too fat to fit in properly, use the daisy types for shooting with the gun. Insert the stick magazine, and pull back the slide and your good to go. The gun does have a strong kick, for the first few shots it bucks and kicks. However, once this novelty wares off, you start to notice the darker side of the gun. I didn't know when I originally bought this gun that the barrel is in fact a smoothbore, it has no rifling. Accuracy is terrible, it will literally spew bbs everywhere. Accuracy is unpredictable, even when shooting at 5ft. FPS is low with this gun, its not high-power, and the risk of over-penetration is not too great. When you run out of bbs in your mag, the slide will lock back, a nice touch. When the gun starts to run low on Co2, it is noticeable right away. The kick will start to slow, and then the bbs will literally role out of the barrel.
Conclusion-
Is the gun worth it? Well yes and no. If you are expecting a match grade or a serious shooting pistol, then avoid it like the plague. But if you want something to casually plink around with or the realistic feel of a ppk without having to shell out the big bucks then by all means its a good gun. Also keep in mind, it is only one of the few blow back bb guns that is out in the market that is full metal, and under $100, a good deal if you ask me. Just be sure to buy extra mags for the gun!
