Well... mediocre build, ONLY reasonably accurate, they're everywhere on skirmish sites.

Well I bought the bullet and purchased my first clone- an Echo 1 M16- for the purposes of upgrading for fun. My plan for this puppy was to take an ordinary and innocent M16 and turn it into a marksman rifle.
The gun itself cost a paltry sum of 160$, delivered to my front porch from ASGI. The packaging was nice, blahblahblah, I hate it when people talk about boxes. All you need to know is that when it showed up, it wasn't broken.
The gun itself is built reasonably; it's not a CA M15, nor is it an A&K. It;s just average.
The battery that comes with it... well I threw that out my dorm window. It was a piece of crap to be honest; I appreciate the effort on Echo 1's part but I'd rather they just leave out the cost of the battery and give me a gun.
The magazine is fine, but it's a highcap, so I'll probably never use it. I use midcaps exclusivly, especially if I have to crawl around with it.
The plastic on the stock, pistolgrip ad foregrip seems to be a little flakey... but sadly/greatfully I'll never know how good it was because I bought a new set of grips and a new stock: a crane stock that will carry a 10.8v battery. The new foregrip is a Madbull JP set, the longest one you can buy. It's a great piece of equiptment, solid as a rock. The pistol grip was replaced with a King Arms PSG-1 style grip.
The body is Marui quality, but I've never liked Marui bodies. Plastic bodies have always felt weak to me, and this one feels especially so. The body creaks quite a bit, but again, it got replaced by a GnP zombie killer metal body so that doesnt really matter.
The carry handle I did away with, but it was a fairly decent piece. Seemed strong enough to support the weight.
After getting all the bits and bobs put together, I slapped a GnP ACOG onto it.
The range is fairly good; the stock hopup does wonders, even in wind. I found this to be one of the most redeeming factors of the stock gun.
FPS wise it's fine; 350 is about what I'm guessing, more than enough for my needs especially with that hopup. I may end up having to drop a 400 FPS spring in later; we'll have to see how the wind blows.
The fire selector is quick and smooth. It clicks into place nicely.
From what I've seen of the gearbox, it looks very well made, at least as good as a Marui. The metal looks a little bit darker, but other than that the shells are identical. I don't feel the need to replace any parts of it yet, that may change with time though.
OTher than that there's not much to say. I feel that its a decent price to pay for a donor gun. Even if you're going to gut it its not a bad deal, although problems may arise if you dont replace a few of the parts. I'm fairly happy with it, and it should last me for a very long time.
