Living in the UK the only source of Altama Exospeeds for a while was UK Tactical, unfortunately when I was in a position to purchase UK Tactical stopped supplying Altama boots. So looking to the US I managed to find a source for the boots.

The boots are pretty solidly constructed and indeed very comfortable when walking around in however UK buyers will be advised to order 1 size up, I ordered only a half size up and although the boots fit pretty snugly I wouldn't mind just a little more wiggle room though I haven't been able to fully break in the boots.

I don't doubt the quality of the boot but I do have a list of the boots short comings:

1) The waterproof lining isn't 100% so, it'll keep your foot dry from a splash or quick dunk but doing a shower test I found the inner fabric getting damp after about a minute.

2) The ankle height eyelet can initially chafe if the boots are done up too tightly, this is uncomfortable until the boots wear in, fortunately its about after 20 minutes this goes away.

3) Oddly for a combat/tactical boot there is a worrying lack of a composite/steel/reinforced toe. Considering the possible hazards related to combat zones or even urban airsoft sites the lack of hard toe protection is a bit of a downer.

The boot is well padded internally and will certainly keep your feet warm on cold days but possibly not dry on the wettest of days.

As I have not field tested these boots yet I am not sure how well they are going to stand up to typical woodland airsoft conditions but I hope this review is useful for those looking at possible purchasing these boots.
