Classic Army M15A4 S.P.R.
Just a note: I wrote this review over two years ago, so I had to do some editing and such. The product may have changed from the way it was from two years ago to now.

The pretty box.

The pretty box opened showing the gun, magazine, foregrip (I took out the manual), and the loading tool which comes under the gun.

I'm sorry I blurred this up, but my hand shook when I took the picture. If you can see this, it has the correct trademarks with M15A4 and it's own serial number.

The front end of the gun.

The gun in all its glory #1. If you can see though, the rear swing swivel does not actually swivel.

Sorry I got this blurry, it's hard to steady a gun with one hand. But if you can see, it's the hopup. To get to it, you have to grab the little end sticking out on the dust cover and try to open it. It takes a few seconds. It's harder if you have big hands. Speaking of the hopup, it seemed when I was changing it, it had no effect. The bb's trajectory did not change at all. After about 5000 rounds into it (i must say with no jams and no misfeeds), it worked fine.

[img]http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/300/img1696bq4.jpg
Again, sorry about the blurryness. If you can tell, its the charging handle. It serves no purpose, it's just there.

The gun in all its glory #2. Just a side note, this gun is really heavy, about 8 pounds with everything loaded (i had a big battery in it), so you will definitly need a sling.

The sights. Rear is detachable and can be ajusted for distance and windage.

I went and got a better picture of the reciever.

This is my only complaint. Battery changes are a HUGE hassle if you have a 9.6 large type battery. I had a Powerizer 9.6 3500mah NiMh. The fuse is also incredibly huge as you can see in the picture. I have to tie the connector and the fuse together and tuck in in the bottom of the stock to fit the battery in. After taking it out, you have to keep the bundled up connector and fuse in place while you shake the stock and pull the battery. This may take two people. So if you are thinking of having a large battery in there, just remember you won't be able to make fast battery changes. They may take up to five minutes to do.

Now for the firing report:

I struggled with the battery, got that in, loaded the magazine, loaded it into the gun, wound the spring up (the spring is like every other normal M16 magazine, its wound on the bottom), and pulled the charging handle back for realization. Now for full auto: no misfeeds, no jams, no double fire, and no dry fire. It was perfect. I also must comment on the rof. Holy ######. I got out at least 15-20 shots in a second! I also must give a little credit to the magazine too, no misfeeds and the spring worked fine.

Here's what happened next. I ordered two extra toytec M15/16 high caps from Airsoft GI and had recieved them with the gun. I had seen eight 5-star reviews, so i said, what the heck, the Classic Army ones are sold out anyway. I poured the bb's in, put it in the gun, wound the magazine and right there something felt wrong, the spring felt like it was not winding. I decided to shake the mag around, then proceeded to hit it and smack it off of stuff, i then said, "oh well, lets try it now". Nothing. Nothing came out. I tipped it upside down, nothing. I threw the mag out and tried out the second one. Three shots and then nothing. Maybe it was just my mags, but they sucked, so I don't recommend them with Classic Army guns.

I aligned the sights and shot at about 50 feet away, and the BB's went in a very consistent line. I havent measured the fps, but it appears to be pretty high as I got good range. ROF, as i had mentioned, was very fast. At least 15-20 rps. I also shot on full auto throughout the whole mag while winding at the same time, fed perfectly. The last five shots were skipping but that was because it was almost out. There was only about 13 bb's left when i stopped shooting so the mag is good. (the CA one is good)

I also put on a red dot sight and it looks awesome.

R.I.S. covers slide right off but don't come off unless with a little force, so don't worry about them coming off in a skirmish. The verticle foregrip also slides off and for those who don't know how to use one, there is a twisty nob thing on the bottom you spin counter clockwise to loosen it. You then turn clockwise to lock it into place.

Just specs on the box, nothing special.

Bolt catch, serves no purpose.

http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/3992/img1713sr1.jpg
The rear sight. The big nob on the bottom left loosens the sight allowing you to take it off, the nob above it is for distance and the nob on the other side that you cant see ajusts for windage.

Another picture of the gun.

Overall, I love this gun. It is user friendly, realisticly heavy, performs well, and fires great! I recommend this gun to anyone that can carry an 8 pound gun around all day.
