Pros: Hard Elbows, Full length zip, Genuine Multicam
Cons: Small zippers on pockets

This is intended to be a short but detailed review of the Multicam Ops DA combat shirt and elbow pads.

This is an independant review and the comments made in this review are based on my own personal opinions.

The Review
The shirt is made of genuine crye precision multicam material for the sleaves and collar and a stretchy lycra type wicking body and are based on the orginal crye style of combat shirt although there is a couple of modifications.
The main differences are the;
- Full length zipper down the front
- writing pad pockets in the forearms

I will touch more on these differences later in the review.

I obtained it from www.ur-tactical.com but they can also be purchased through an ebay seller known as multicamguy2.
Cost, with postage to the UK is approximately £85 pounds with the pads. I think the shirts alone would be about £65.

Features.
The body consists of a performance moisture-wicking layer that is similar to the crye shirt and better than other repro shirts that dont use genuine multicam however the colour is not a perfect match to the crye wicking material. It is still, however a very good colour and the wicking works well under armour vests and plate carriers etc.

There are two main pockets on the upper arms. These also have a large area of velcro for patches. These are accessed through a zip closure and I think they could benefit from zipper pulls as the zips are a little small but this is a very small complaint as they still work OK as they are.

There are also a flap on each forearm that covers a little note pad holder. I think there is nothing wrong with this and it does not make the shirt bad or anything, I am just not sure that the majority of airsofters will ever use this function.

The shirt has a full length zipper which I think is an improvement over the half zip design as it does make it easier to get the shirt on. I have heard people suggest that this may make it uncomfortable to wear under a vest or plate carrier but i have found this to be untrue.

The have reinforced 'pockets'on the elbows for the fitting of the pads and lets face it, that is one of the main reasons you would buy this shirt over the field shirt. Fitting the pads is easier than the knee pads in the trousers.
The best way to insert the pad is to insert the bottom of the pad in as far as you can and then scrunch up the remaining black padded part of the pad and stuff it in all folded like. Then stick your hand inside the arm and manipulate the pad back into shape.

The cuffs fasten with velcro and there is plenty of adjustment for gloves and wrist size.

I think that is all the main features of this shirt.

Quality.
Like the trousers, the quality is superb. The stitching is all secure and looks like it will last for a long time.
There are areas of reinforced cordura around the elbow pads that looks like it will add alot of strength to this stress area.

Conclusions;

This is a very good high spec shirt.
It is also the only other combat shirt, next to CP, that uses genuine multicam and excepts hard elbow pads that I know of. This means that if you want a high performance under armour shirt in real MC then you have to pay this price.
Is the price extravagent? I dont think so for all that you get.

The Pros;
-Genuine Multicam material
-Full length zip, an improvement over cryes original design
-Hard Elbow pads
-Great quality

The Cons;
-Small zips on the main pockets with no zip pulls

Do I recommend them? Yes.
Would I buy them again? Yes.

I would be happy for anyone else who has comments on this shirt to please add them into this review.

Thank you for reading my review.

Edit to update - these are now avaliable in both ACU and tan now.
