The two seem to make the perfect pair when it comes to their applications. They're just meant for each other. And this brings me to the TPG Multi-reticle Reflex Sight. I believe this is simply a rebrand of a generic Chinese reflex sight, but chances are, TPG takes an extra step with some extra quality control, which ultimately means that you, the consumer, has a better chance of getting a working product right off the bat. The sight retails for about $50 and can be found at various online stores.

<strong>Initial Impressions-</strong>
The sight comes with all of the bits and pieces you'll need to get it onto your gun and working: Allen keys, TWO batteries, a lens cloth, a lens cover, and a set of instructions. The sight itself looks nice and the lens is crystal clear. I'll go into more detail later.
<strong>Appearance/Feel/Build Quality-</strong>
<a href="http://modernairsoftwarrior.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/back1.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-115 alignleft" style="float:left;" src="http://modernairsoftwarrior.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/back1.jpg?w=128" alt="" hspace="5" width="128" height="80" /></a>First and foremost, the finish on this gun is smooth and even. It is a little bit on the shiny side, but there is so little material that it's hardly noticeable from more than three feet away. The entire thing is made from metal. All of the edges are nice and crisp, suggesting it was likely CNC'd. As for the quality of the metal itself, it's likely pot metal, but it is on the higher end of the quality spectrum. It's no aircraft-grade aluminum, but it will hold up just fine in any airsoft applications.
The lens is crystal clear and has a contrasty blue tint to it. The front has a very tactical looking red mirror finish.
<a href="http://modernairsoftwarrior.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/selector1.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-122 alignright" style="float:right;" src="http://modernairsoftwarrior.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/selector1.jpg?w=128" alt="" width="128" height="87" /></a>There are a total of four different adjustments: windage, elevation, brightness, and the reticle type. The first three work wonderfully and click into place with authority. The reticle adjustment lever is pretty mushy, but it has just enough of a click to let you know that you're in the right position.
There are a total of four different reticles to choose from. While this doesn't provide any tactical advantage, it lets the user customize the sight to their own taste.

<strong>Performance-</strong>
This section will be difficult to fill, since I haven't been skirmishing with it yet. I can however tell you that it holds its zero without any trouble and has a wide range of adjustment.
At its brightest setting, the reticle shows up just fine in daylight, but it will disappear if you get a glare from the sun.
<strong>Technical Information-</strong>
Probably the most important part about this sight is the fact that it will work with airsoft guns. There are many Chinese clones out there modeled off of the real deal, which means they can't adjust to the short ranges we encounter with airsoft. This one does indeed require you to use the extreme end of the elevation adjustment, most airsoft trajectories should fall inside of the adjustment range just fine.
I should also note that it is probably a good idea to fabricate an acrylic/plexiglass protective cover for the lens, since it is prone to being hit with BBs. This is a risk with any optic, so I recommend doing so whenever you can to prolong the life of your equipement.
<strong>Pros & Cons-</strong>
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pros:</span>
-Works with airsoft guns!
-Good quality
-Excellent range of adjustment
-4 different reticle types to suit your needs/taste
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Cons:</span>
-A little expensive, but anything cheaper feels like a toy
-Lens is susceptible to cracking from stray BBs
-Finish may be shiny for some
<strong>The Bottom Line-</strong>
<a href="http://modernairsoftwarrior.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/mp7app1.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-117 alignleft" style="float:left;" src="http://modernairsoftwarrior.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/mp7app1.jpg?w=128" alt="" width="128" height="88" /></a>Here's what you need to know about this sight: it works and it looks good. No, it's not a high-end piece of equipment, but for airsoft, you don't honestly NEED a high quality optic. As long as you can adjust it so it sends BBs in the right direction, right? This little guy does just that, does it well, and looks good while doing it. What more could you ask for?
