INTRO
Ive had this gun now for a year now and i love it so much I thought I write a review on it. Ive played heavily with this gun and it keeps up with other high end guns I play with.
Externals
The gun is completely made out of plastic but its very strong plastic just like the TM SIG 552. The gun doesnt wobbly at all and there is no squeaks when the gets stress on it. The cocking bolt is very disappointing the spring in it isnt that strong and it doesnt have a nice sound to it. The gun comes with three rails on it two on the foregrip and one on top. they are metal.
internals
I have had much time to open this bad boy up and check the insides. But one of my friends did. It has a weird black gear box. i havent seen in alot of jing gongs. But it works better I think. When i got it, the gun was shooting 360fps. Ive left it stock and it dropped down to about 350fps. The hop up is a drum style hop up and it is easy to get to and fix. Its right behind the bolt.
PERFORMANCE:
how this thing shoots is pretty impressive. Once i fixed the hopup and everything. this gun got some range about 120ft. since it doesnt have a very long barrel its doesnt got the great accuratcy. the ROF is pretty good for only useing small batterys. However if you use a PEQ box you can use larger batterys and that will increase.
the battery compartment is very small you can only use small 8.4V batteries in the foregrip. But like I said you can run larger if a peq is added.
The only large complaint I got on thing gun is that the high caps are very small only carring 200 rounds. (im use to ak mags 600 rounds)
but the sig makes this up by making the mags clip together and they are really made well better then must mags I own for other guns. it is kinda annoying finding pouches for the mags but what i found out that works the best is m14 molle pouches work amazing with them
FIELD USE:
i play alot of woodland matches and it works well but i sometimes find myself out gunned and out ranged sometimes. But the gun is lighter then most guns so I can get in closer or move out of the line of firer quicker then larger guns. Ive played cqb with it a few times and i found that cqb was its calling. it works great and easy to move around corners with.
OVERALL
i love this gun. its one of my favorite guns i own. it has its downsides cause its all plastic and small mag sizes and annoying to use small batteries but it makes it up in its performance and relibitiy on the field.

I ordered the Sig-552 from Gunnerairsoft.com for 78$. When the package first came I was surprised by how small the box was. Inside the box it had the stock folded. Included with the Sig was a 220 round high cap, an 8.4v 1100 mah battery, a Europe style wall charger, a small bb clearing rod, and an instruction manual. On some websites, I have seen pictures of it with a top rail. No top rail was included with mine.

--Externals--
When I picked it up I found it was quite heavy. About 5 pounds maybe, which for such a small rifle, is a lot. For externals I will work my way from the flash hider to the stock.
The flash hider is a very nice metal. Mine had the first 8 mm of it painted a pale yellow. But I have seen pictures on other websites where the entire flash hider was painted bright orange. Underneath it is a 14mm ccw thread with a rubber spacer at the tip.
The front sight is metal and non-adjustable. It has a flip up night-sight, which is just a lot bigger than the normal one.

(I painted the white dot on myself)
The for grip is made of a durable plastic, and has a very nice matte finish. It has 2 ris rails. One on bottom and one on the right side. Both are made of metal and are easily removed if with an Allen wrench if you prefer a smoother look like me.
Right behind the grip on the top there is a metal piece with the Swiss army logo, which is a very nice addition. The Body itself is kind of a disappointment. It is a good quality plastic, but it has a slightly shiny finish, and looks sorta plasticy. However the detailing on the body is very good.
The cocking handle is metal and feels very nice. But it does not go as far back as it would on a real Sig, and when you cock it, it sounds very unrealistic because of the plastic body. Underneath is the hop up adjuster and is very similar to a G36 style hop up.
The magazine release is metal and has no problems with it. The trigger guard is an interesting part. It can fold to either side for use with heavy gloves. I think that it is useless, but still a nice feature to have. The trigger itself is plastic, which was a surprise, and the trigger pull is longer than that of an m16 and makes double taps hard to do fast. The selector switch is metal and feels very positive. It clicks loudly into place and does not feel like it can be switched by accident.

The rear sight is a metal rotary-style sight. It has 4 different adjustments. I do not know exactly what each of the different sights are for. It is fully adjustable, unlike the front sight. There are markings on the rear sight that are very well detailed, and look very nice. (the camera does not do the markings justice, they look a lot better in person)

The pistol grip is a matte black and feels pretty good, but over time it tends to hurt the base of my thumb, but not too bad. The stock attachment/ hinge is completely metal and doesn’t seem like it will break anytime soon. The stock release button is also metal. The stock swings very easily into place, as a matter of fact, most of the time when you push the release, the stock will swing into the folded position almost by its self. It is a nice matte black finish, like the for grip and pistol grip. The butt-pad is rubber and feels very nice.
--Loading--
To put the battery in, you have to push the pin out of the front of the receiver, and pull back the bottom of the handguard. Doing so will dislodge the top section. The battery is a tight fit, and there is no way you could fit a 9.6 volt battery unless it is custom.

The magazine is supposedly 220 rounds, but It seemed closer to 180. It only holds about 20 rounds in the spring and requires alot more tedious winding than other high-caps I have used. But it does feed fine.
--Firing--
Before shooting, I lubed the barrel and hop-up, so I expected the first couple shots to be a little wild, and they were. But after about 50 rounds or so, it began to be a lot more consistent. For having such a short barrel, it is very accurate. Just about as accurate, if not more accurate than my JG M16. I hit a friend of mine with a quick 2 round burst from about 150 feet away, and left a pretty nice welt. I have no chronograph, but I estimate it is about 350 fps. Quite powerful for such a tiny gun.
--Problems I have faced--
The semi-automatic can be a little problematic. Sometimes the semi will lock up when you try to do double taps. Sometimes it will shoot 2 rounds instead of one. And sometimes, the trigger will be a little sticky (only when the battery is not hooked up)
--Pros--
Small
Affordable
Powerful
Accurate
Different than most guns on the field
Folding stock
--Cons--
Mag cap
Battery capacity
cocking lever isn't as cool as it could be
Semi auto problems
It is kinda loud
--Conclusion--
I love my new Sig-552. It is my favorite airsoft replica that I own. It is definitely worth the money, and I highly recommend buying one.
9/10
