Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 Dual Stainless

Intro
I bought this gun for a couple of reasons. One I wanted a Marui gun, so I figured that the Hi-Capa would be good for the task. Two I wanted a race gun, also figured that it would be good. Lastly I wanted a “high performing” gun, again I figured that the Hi-Capa would stand up to the job.
I bought the gun from www.redwolfairsoft.com. It costs about $150 with out the $20-30 shipping depending on where you live. I bought the gun with one extra magazine.

What‘s Included
The gun came with the following, 200 round pack of Marui .25 gram BB’s, un-jamming tool/cleaner, a manual, some Marui latest products catalog ( will do you no good unless you can read Japanese ). Cased in a Styrofoam base, topped with a cardboard lid, just like any other airsoft gun box. Also had a picture of the gun on top of the lid, along with the company’s logo and the model of gun. The BB’s seem to be good enough to use in the gun temporary, but I would recommend getting higher quality BB’s like “KSC”, but those BB’s should hold you off.
Build Quality
The feel of the Hi-Capa is on the heavier side, but still like any other GBB. Being a race gun, it is recommended that there not be a lot of weight on the frame or the slide. The gun comes with a stock plastic slide (like all of Marui’s do). The slide may be plastic but it still feels very well built. The slide has “Ops Tactical .45” trades on both sides, also right behind the trigger I yet another Ops Tactical trade. That is it for trades pretty much, except for the one “.45 ACP” on the chamber and on the grips.
Right above the trigger is the “Made In Japan” statement, below it, the Tokyo Marui name. Right in front of the Marui name is the ASGK logo. On the other side, it is bare. Besides the “Ops Tactical” trade on the slide, right below it is “non-unique” serial number. List of the metal external parts is below.

The gun is obviously looks like stainless. But really the slide is plastic , and the lower frame I want to bring to your attention. It does look like real stainless but, is either sprayed or painted with something or sanded, or even both. What tells me this is by the Tokyo Marui logo by the trigger (picture below) lies a tiny blemish, that by the name fades the stainless look. Which means that the gun was not carved out of real stainless, also the price should tell you. The slide is a lot more shinier than the lower “stainless” frame. The slide also nicks and scratches very easily. One thing about the sights, in my opinion, is that the sights should not be removable, once you take them off you can never get them back on perfect again. Which brings me on to my next sentence about the sights in the next paragraph.
The sights are black and have one dot in the middle of the front sight. The magazines are extremely heavy compared to the other GBB guns. The trigger pull on the gun is like any other GBB you’ll find on the market today.
Performance
When doing the “rapid fire test” many problems occurred. Well when the first five to ten shots were dry fired because of the magazine not loading the BB’s into the chamber. After the shots were finally loading into the chamber, the next five shots went off ok. Than I ran into the same problem again, fixed it. Occurred three or four times during the whole process. I believe that was human error on my part, I don’t think you should worry. After going through the whole 20 BB’s, the gun had cool down issues, leaving eight BB’s left in the magazine, out of the 28 BB‘s. After all of these problems, I would have to say that the “rapid fire test” was successful.

When doing the power test, I used Cybergun BB’s (which have improved). I used them at point blank range. Before I get started I want to say that, this test is very dangerous and you should safety goggles when performing this test. I used Cybergun .20 BB’s, at around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ok now for the test results. The first shot was made in the side. Leaving the a wound in the can but the BB stays inside of it. On the bottom of the can lies a tiny crack but no puncture. According to the “poor man’s chronograph” the gun is shooting about 290-310 feet per second (FPS). More on the “poor man’s chronograph” can be found Red Wolf Airsoft-Poor Man’s Chrono.
The accuracy test show fair groupings (sure I could have gotten better results if I had a gun holder). But I was very surprised at the Marui company at having such different grouping than I expected. The sights even seemed off, they were over the bulls eye. They hit the lower bottom of the target. As shown in the picture below. I’m also certain that the hop-up is not set right, so I’m sure that you can get better results than I did.

Flaws/Problems
As for problems I have not ran into any yet besides the cool down and that mag feed problem. But as you know like most of my guns, they collect dust. So there is not much to go wrong. But I will let you know if I run into a problem with the gun.
Conclusion
The Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 Dual Stainless, is a very well made gun. Tokyo Marui lived up to their name on this gun. I was very pleased with this gun, I am very glad that I invested on this gun and I plan to upgrade it someday. I would recommend this gun for it’s low price and high quality. Any of the Marui guns are very respectable and the Marui name is very trustworthy.
