Context:
Here I am again, same kind of review, different kind of gun. This time round I’m ganna give you my no BS assessment of the KSC M11A1 machine pistol. Like my review of the MP5K I will focus on the context of which the real steel was designed to be used, in the case of the M11 it is to output as much 9mm ammo in as short a time possible in as small a form factor as possible. In a nutshell the M11 is designed for mowing down people. In terms of the Airsoft world, the M11 is only suitable for CQB scenarios as its barrel length of mere centimetres is inaccurate to say the least.
Background:
I have owned my M11 for 7 months and use it frequently in CQB scenarios and have put approximately 4000rnds through it. I picked it and two others up in HK when I was there last year. I originally planned on getting a Mini Uzi but the Modern Model Company I got most of my gear from was out of stock and suggested the M11 instead. Boy am I glad they did! I must say at this point that I have thoroughly enjoyed owning my M11.
The GBB
So you open a pretty plain looking box to reveal a pretty plain looking GBB, you get it out and think it feels pretty good. You insert the mag, then you think that it’s really cool. The gun is heavy feeling, real heavy infact due to the all metal stick mag that protrudes from the bottom of the grip a fair way. So you gas her up with HFC22(gas goes in the mags), load the mag using the special loading adaptor included, ram the mag up, cock her (cocking handle on top) switch her to full auto and praaaap! In about 1 second you have half emptied the 50rnd mag. This GBB knows how to unload! And that’s probably an understatement. The M11 fires faster than any AEG or GBB I have ever seen. The M11 also has a little wire frame stock that slides out, initially I thought it was stupid, however now having used it in CQB scenarios I like it and see its value.
Showtime!
So I’m in the kill house I have two M11s with 3 spare mags in a leg rig, I feel powerful, no, I feel invincible! With the squeeze of my fingers I can make all hell brake loose on any unlucky individual who decides to come through the door I’m guarding. I hear the entry team reforming in the hallway that’s on the other side of the door. I stand in front off the door, I boot it away from me and see 3 figures in black none of which expecting me to do what I have just done. Praaaaaaap!!! I empty ½ of each mag into the cluster of bodies eliminating all 3 of them before any could even return a single round back. I feel like god! Giving and taking away at my very desire, ha ha ha hahaha hahahahahah! Ok get a grip!
I guess what I’m saying is that the M11 gives you a feeling that no other AEG gives, having the ability to empty 50 rounds into a target in less than 4 seconds does something to you! It makes you fearless!
Like I said earlier I love my M11 and wouldn’t be without it. The only gripe I have is that the insides break after prolonged use with HFC22 (even though the unit is designed for use of this gas). This is not good but thank goodness the replacement parts are cheap and full metal replacements are also available.
Another added bonus with the M11, is the high flow valves it uses that enable the mags to release a full tank without suffering from ‘cool down’, this is a definite bonus as those experienced with GBB know that it doesn’t take much before your weapon turns from a bang to a put.
The Pros
Fire power at your fingertips!
Very realistic, add a full metal kit for the ultimate
Very compact (stock can be removed very easily)
The Cons
Highly inaccurate
Insides break after a couple a thousand rounds on HFC22
No place to hook a sling
What Else?
Must get at least one lot of inners as they will break after extended use, I suggest spending the extra dosh and getting the metal, not only does it improve the weight of the gun but also has a more mechanical sound.
Silencer is also a must for that extreme badass look. Make sure you get the one with M11 engravings, it’s the business!
A large pistol holster is really the only way or carrying this weapon. Get an adjustable Desert Eagle one and it should fit, I have one that works well but I am unsure of the brand.
There are also RIS systems and scopes etc for the M11. It is my opinion that these kind of attachments are a complete waste of money when using the M11 in a CQB scenario. It is also my opinion that buying such upgrades to improve the long range capabilities of the M11 is pointless, and funds would be better spent on getting a ‘full sized’ AEG for such scenarios. In terms of scopes etc these are of little value in CQB scenarios as there is little time for aiming and take downs usually consist of point and shoot. Technicians are usually in such close proximity that the first to pull the trigger lives.
Summary
The M11 is a great little GBB and I would recommend it for technicians with an existing collection comprising or at least one AEG and sidearm. The M11 is not suited as a primary weapon (unless the user is part of a team that is made up of at least a couple of AEGs) but its niche is as a backup primary or secondary capable of blanketing enemies in a fast efficient manner.
My rating’s (in a CQB context)
Base GBB 8/10
Spec’d Up 8.5 (with silencer and metal inners)

Dang, these things are a love of labour.
I bought mine in winter...bad choice. Damn thing would NOT work. Bought short mags as they are easier to warm up and keep warm. That sort of fixed it, for a while.
Gas feed ramp kept jamming because of a stupid internal pull-back system. Replaced seals which made no difference. Then the bolt broke. Replaced that with a metal one, and it still didnt work right, but I could fire in bursts.
Finally, the grip started breaking off after less than a year of ownership and less than 15 games.
These things are fun when they work, but that is not often enough. Completely unreliable.
Avoid at all costs.

I bought My Mac 11a1 at Wolf Armouries, it was on sale because of a fault with the mag lip. after about a month of fun bb's started flaying out the side and getting jammed. on several occasions i would empty a mag and get only two of three pellets that feebly roll out of the from. I oppened up my silencer and found that the foam padding was filled with pellet.
good gun bad mechanics... yay

This thing is amazing until it breaks, the plastic bolts kind of self destructs after so many rounds. Then considering I only paid $80 for mine used, But like new. It would cost me more than half that to buy a new bolt for $45. I agree a 100% with GuzziHero on this also my grip snapped off were it meets the lower receiver. Just makes me angry every time I look at it.
