Pros: Mostly Metal Construction.
Cons:

While my last experience with Marushin GBB was pretty disappointing (Marushin 5-7), I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and performance of their release of the Mateba. The Marushin Mateba is modeled after the Real Steel Italian made autorevolver Model 6. The creation of this specific model was inspired by the Manga, Ghost in the Shell and the use of it by a character named Togusa. This specific Mateba does not exist though but has the Model Number M207

The Marushin Mateba is almost all metal in build. Frame, Cylinder, Outer Barrel, Trigger Mechanism and Cartridge Casings are all metal. The trigger is double action, so the firing mechanism is more like a NBB (Non Blow Back) pistol. Because of this, the Marushin Mateba has been handling Green Gas just fine so far. It fires the large 8mm BB's and carries 6 shots. Each shot is loaded into an individual shell casing, then those are loaded into the cylinder.

The gun comes with 6 re loadable shell casings a 1 collectors bullet modeled after a "tracer" round which can be used as a cell phone strap or ornament.

Pros: good ergonomics, good power
Cons: poor accuracy, bad looking fake wood

I have the gun reviewed at full here:
http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=153706

But as a quickie:
No, the frame, barrel, cylinder are not made of metal. They are in fact made of plastic, but really good heavy weight plastic supposedly with metal powder in it.

Its a faithful replica of Togusas gun except for the fact that its got markings saying it shoots 9mm and has short casings. I assume at the least that it shoots .357 in the film because that's what he loads in his mateba in the TV series. I mean, in a world of cyborgs and multiped tanks, 9mm's won't even get you past the door.

I believe that I got a lemon since Marushin never did reply to my e-mail. My inner barrel was bent and the cylinder timing was all over the place in DA mode. To make the gun shoot anywhere near straight, you have to cock the hammer first and make sure the cylinder is aligned (as the manual says). There's a way to fix this, but is very time consuming and not for everyone.

With the cylinder timing dealt with, I still have a crummy barrel, which at my best attempt to fix it can only do 7" groups at 5m. I've tried recrowning it just recently and got a best grouping of 10" at 10m. Still very poor but at least usable up to 15m for skirmish. A normal barrel would undoubtedly give better results. I also noticed that the gun light-striked a lot when left alone for a while using propane at 27°C. Cured when using 134a and actually gave better consistency.
