The Tokyo Marui M.E.U. is a replica of the Marine Corps armorers of the Precision Weapons Section (PWS) 1911 they build for the Special Operators in the Marine Corps.
As with most TM GBB's, the M.E.U. has a high quality build and is a great performer straight out of the box. Handles Green Gas no problem. Most parts are TM 1911 compatible/interchangeable.

Putting my money where my mouth is...
OMFG The A.I.C.S. is NOT an L96, AWP or AWM!!!

Bought this RIF as I was after a 1911 style pistol but wanted something other then a basic 1911.
It is a well made RIF with no obvious moulding marks or other manufacturing errors. It has a nice weight to it as the grips have ballast in them. The plastic body looks nice and isnt obviously plastic but it does dent and scratch rather easily.
I've only used green gas in it so far and the blowback action is nice and crisp. Chrono'd at 315fps at room temperature. The hop-up is very effective and can match the range of some stock AEG's but the accuracy leaves a lot to be desired at those ranges. Up close it is quite accurate and I have no trouble hitting people at short to medium ranges. I used this pistol recently at an urban game together with a Marui Hi-Capa to great effect. It sounds very nice indoors and is very comfortable to use.
My only real complaint is that the magazines does not hold enough gas to fire off a full mag on a full charge. It will run out of gas with about 3-5 rounds left and the power drop-off is very steep. Because of this I load 5 rounds less in each mag so I have full power on every shot.
Overall a great little RIF but I don't think it will replace my Marui Hi-capa as my favourite sidearm.

I bought this pistol about a month ago, as I love the 1911 design, but wanted something more modern looking than the TM 1911A1...
It's a fantastic gun... No flaws on imperfections on the plastic body, which at first is hard to tell whether it's plastic or metal, it feels that good...
Weight and handling are good, with the weights in the Pachmayr style grips plus the usual weight of the magazine, it sits very nicely in your hand indeed.
Performance is as to be expected from a TM pistol... Crisp strong blowback, never skips a beat.
Parts-wise, well, it's a TM 1911 based gun... Pretty much anything that fits a TM 1911 will fit a TM MEU...
There is only on issue. The magazines. I don't quite know what TM have done, but a magazine that is slightly longer than a standard 1911 mag (MEU mags have the black buffer at the bottom) has a lower gas capacity... As such, the MEU struggles to finish off an entire magazine and lock back on a single full charge of gas...
The simple solution of course (which I don't mind at all) is to load a few less BBs in... It's a 28 Round Magazine, you shouldn't need more than 20 in a magazine if you're running it as a back-up weapon.
However, do not let the gas capacity issue lower your views of this gun...
As I said earlier, it is a fantastic little pistol, and is well worth the money I paid for it. Add a set of real wood grips (like I did to mine, which can be seen in my gallery) and you've got a great looking, great shooting pistol!

i found this gun to be very well made excellent balance of gun with magazine in or out of the gun. mostly plastic like all tm but does come with the key parts metal like the internal barrel, hammer, trigger, magazine, safety catch's. it also comes with licenced novak sights on the gun which i find very accurate and can hit the same spot over and over again with them. ive not had a problem with gas consumption like the over reviews i can fire a full mag (28 0.2g rounds)and a another 24 rounds on one gas fill using 134 gas. the gun is easy to field strip and clean and lube up. this gun also comes with 3 safety devices to stop accidental firing of the gun it has a beaver tail safety a slide lock which disengages the trigger this can only be used after the guns been cocked. It also has a half cocked posiation on the hammer which disengages the trigger and wont fire if the other 2 safetys are off. overall a very good gun which im glad i own parts are very easy to come by and custom parts available
