Pros: Typical TM Quality and Performance at a Reasonable Price
Cons:

The Tokyo Marui M.E.U. is a replica of the Marine Corps armorers of the Precision Weapons Section (PWS) 1911 they build for the Special Operators in the Marine Corps.

As with most TM GBB's, the M.E.U. has a high quality build and is a great performer straight out of the box. Handles Green Gas no problem. Most parts are TM 1911 compatible/interchangeable.

Putting my money where my mouth is...
OMFG The A.I.C.S. is NOT an L96, AWP or AWM!!!

Pros: Crisp blowback action. Solid contruction.
Cons: Plastic body easily dented. Gas consumption.

Bought this RIF as I was after a 1911 style pistol but wanted something other then a basic 1911.

It is a well made RIF with no obvious moulding marks or other manufacturing errors. It has a nice weight to it as the grips have ballast in them. The plastic body looks nice and isnt obviously plastic but it does dent and scratch rather easily.

I've only used green gas in it so far and the blowback action is nice and crisp. Chrono'd at 315fps at room temperature. The hop-up is very effective and can match the range of some stock AEG's but the accuracy leaves a lot to be desired at those ranges. Up close it is quite accurate and I have no trouble hitting people at short to medium ranges. I used this pistol recently at an urban game together with a Marui Hi-Capa to great effect. It sounds very nice indoors and is very comfortable to use.

My only real complaint is that the magazines does not hold enough gas to fire off a full mag on a full charge. It will run out of gas with about 3-5 rounds left and the power drop-off is very steep. Because of this I load 5 rounds less in each mag so I have full power on every shot.

Overall a great little RIF but I don't think it will replace my Marui Hi-capa as my favourite sidearm.
