Positive aspects of the product (pros):

Great Graphics, Compelling Story, Large number of weapons and weapon customization

This review will be short as a direct relation to the game itself (and is focused on the PC version).
MW2 can be summed up in three words, "Swing and-a miss." IW tried to make another homerun as they did with COD4 but missed horribly with MW2.
The SP is very interesting and the AI is much more intelligent but the plot has a few holes as well as some clear filler levels which despite this brings on the surprising feeling of the game being too short. This is sad because the material was there to have some far more interesting levels and a much longer game (invasion of the US and battling it out in Afghanistan could have had sooo much more).
MP is worse (keeping in mind this is PC) as IW has decided, for no reason that anyone can seem to figure out, to not allow dedicated servers and thus made online play a lag/cheater fest. With the additional problem of horrifically unbalanced weapons and rather boring maps many players seemed to have given up on MW2 as a whole less than a month after getting it. This is in stark contrast to the well loved COD4 which 2 years later is still being played en'mass.
So in an even shorter statement: thanks to their "F-it attitude" MW2 failed in every way for the eyes of the player, and the only thing to come out of it was a thick lining of cash for the IW pockets resulting not from quality, but from hype.
